Would anyone know what would cause my BDT-210 to stop showing it's front display? It's totally black and I can't tell now whether the unit is on or off. I've had it for a year now with no problems but now this...
well, I think i found the problem.. my desktop is win 7 ultimate 64-bit. apparently Panasonic has not discovered 64 bit technology. the win 7 32 bit showed just fine. so now i have to load some test videos to that platform

That's not it. I'm using DLNA from win7/64 ultimate to my Panny 110. Works very well.
Of course you have to enable media streaming in windows (as Foxbat said). AND make sure the Panny is permitted as playback device (in the same streaming settings).

Check the settings, maybe you change your dimming to off.

Mine did that as well for about a week, it started about the time I switched items around as I added an amp to my system.... anyhow, the other day I was playing around and noticed the power cord was not quite in all the way ( in the back of the unit that is) I pulled it out all the way and left it they way for about 15 sec, pluged it back in and now its good. Not sure what it was for sure but if you unplug the unit and let it reset itself ( 20/30 sec or so ) it should work.

Try two things. 1 - Go into Player Settings > Display > Switch the Front Panel Display from Auto to Bright. 2 - Unplug the A/C cord for about 20 seconds and plug back in.

You are making this way too complicated. I use my Panasonic 210 DLNA Client all the time. And my OS is also Windows 7 64bit.
Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Media streaming options > Name your media Library e.g.(My Media) and click default settings and make sure the share folders are checked. > Under Show devices on: Local Network > Click Allow on Media Programs and remote connections on the media device icon (for the built in DLNA server "Default: Windows Media Player 12") > Click Allow on the DMP-BDT210 icon (or whatever model you have) then click Customize and check the box the says Make all the media in my Library available to this device > OK
If the Window Media Player Network Sharing Service is running, then you will almost immediately see your [Computer name: Media Library name] pop up on the Panasonic DLNA Client screen.

It works, Thank-You I was stumped on how to show my media folders on the 210 just unchecking one box and checking another did the trick.
I purchased 210 from Best Buy (I wanted the Avatar) and I was weary about how the performance was going to be when I got home.
Plugged it in and did the 1.8 (I believe) update. Tried a few 3D movies and tried Netflix. All very short period of time, but they worked flawlessly. I was especially happy that Netflix worked no problem. I hope it keeps it up. Unless the problems arise when you watch a full movie.
I tried to connect my Seagate Go Flex Free Agent USB HD and unfortunately, it showed a message saying "device not supported." Is this the part where I must reformat to fat32 or 64?
Does anyone know if there is a way to make your 3D settings stick? Everytime I restart the player the settings revert back to normal. I would like them to stay on my custom settings.
Hey guys. New to this forum. I am in the process of finishing my basement, which I will have a media/theater room. I will be building my first true "home theather set-up".
I have been reading various threads on here and it seems the 210 is probably what I am looking for. This will be my first Blu Ray player. I base this on cost as well as the need for excellent upconversion for DVD's.
I see that the 210 is on sale for $139 with the 3d avatar bonus till the end of Feb. Is this to good of a deal to pass up or should I wait it out. I probably wont have things completed for 6-7months.
I'm considering purchasing a Panasonic DMP-BDT210, but would like to find out if it will "play nice" with my JVC-THBA3 "5.1" soundbar. I already own a flat-screen Panasonic Viera TV, and when I attempt to hook the TV to the soundbar over HDMI, the sound is "downgraded" to "mere stereo" (2.1). Anyone know if the Blu-Ray player has the same "incompatibility", or have they fixed it.

It is not a Incompatibilty - it is doing what HDMI Requires.

Are you saying that you've hooked the soundbar to the television and when you tune a channel with its internal tuner which has 5.1 sound you only get 2.1 channel sound from the television?
EDIT: The manual for your soundbar seems to say that it doesn't have HDMI connections. If this is true, and you've got some other device hooked into the television via HDMI (like a cable or satellite STB, game console or streaming box) and the television hooked into the soundbar via optical S/PDIF, what will probably happen is that the HDMI device will obtain a description of your television's capabilities (called the Enhanced Extended Display Identification Data, or E-EDID). That block of data will say that your television can only output 2.1 channel sound through its speakers, and that's what the HDMI device will mix for it, so that's all it will have to pass on to your soundbar over optical S/PDIF. If possible, in addition to HDMI to the television for video, you should connect the HDMI device's optical S/PDIF to the soundbar for sound; the device will probably have a setting to tell it to forego sending sound through HDMI, so it won't mix sound for the television's audio capabilities; in the BDTx10s, this setting is called "HDMI Audio Out", which'd be set to "Off". (This was a very common problem in the early days of HDMI, when people would try to hook up their cable boxes this way; sadly, it was a while before that "don't send sound through HDMI" setting was added to cable box firmware).
Trying to use a 3gb Seagate goflex drive with my 110 to play my collection of MKV files, but can't get it to work. I either get an error that says "incompatible USB drive" or "cannot play file". I know the files work, because I've played them from my 16gb usb drive on the 110 (plugged into the USB port) no problem.
I've tried formatting the HD in fat32 ("usb" drive is not recognized) and exFat (in exFat, the drive and files are seen by the panny, but files won't play). Neither format works.
I've tried connecting directly to the panny with the above formatting and get the above errors. And I've also tried connecting to the USB port on my WNDR3700, creating a readyshare DLNA connection. The panny sees the network DLNA HD and sees the files, but won't play them.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Any suggestions on other approaches I can attempt?
Decided to get the 210 based on the reviews here. Was thinking of getting the Oppo 93, but since I have the 83 for upconverting DVD's, thought it would be overkill, since all I needed was a good 3D player. Plus with my reward zone points from BB am getting it for $15. Throw in the Avatar disc, I can't go wrong with this offer.

The Viera has one HDMI that is marked ARC usually HDMI port 1. This should be connected to the soundbar. The Audio settings for this port should be set to digital, and either theatre or external depending on the model. You should be able to use the Viera tools /link to control the soundbar. The 210 can be connected by a optical connection for sound to the soundbar directly if the TV doesn't pass the audio back the way you expect. The Viera probably won't handle DTS or DD MA, and may do a better job connected via the optical out, though they are very strict on the HDMI audio rules. Switching from pcm, and dd based on the source.
I have a panny gt25, but no HDMI audio devices, I use optical for everything.
I have a 210 hookup to my NAS network - the 210 to my Yammie AV via HDMI- when I go to the music folder and press play an MP3 file - I can see it play but no sound. I checked the HDMI connection
and see HDMI audio Output is set to ON
