How many others have had the "sensor" stop working? Mine stopped for a week and then worked again for a day or so and now not again. I haven't unplugged it yet but didn't know if this is widespread or what? I'm still under the 30 days after getting it from Amazon and it's not a big PitA right now.

But on a happier note my Avatar 3D came the other day. Took about 3 weeks.

Anybody have thier 310 hooked to a tx-sr805 onkyo reciever? I get picture but no audio, looks like handshake issues (HDMI flashes on 805). All settings in player are correct for this setup, any advice? Thanks!

It should be noted that the touch free sensor is not a feature on any 2012 model. Perhaps they decided that there was no way to make it reliable.

Are you sure about that? If it setup correctly, you should get audio then

There are quite a few ppl have this same issue (some on Onkyo receivers). Do a search. There are advices given for correct setup as well.

Mine stopped working for a few months. I moved houses, and either simply unplugging it or the movement from the move got it working again. I have to say it's a real bother when you're trying to working behind the player to connect your home theater and the drive keeps opening.

Mine stopped working after about 3 months or so but it's not that big of a deal to me. Every time I dusted it would open which is a hassle so after it stopped working, I just made sure the feature was disabled in case it came back to life. For me, it wasn't that useful of a feature anyway. When I switch devices with my Harmony, the door opens automatically before I can even get up and walk over to the unit.

I double checked the settings. I used a tip from another forum, but it is a pain. I have to put the tv on another input then start the movie. The audio "syncs" up with the player then i put the tv back to the correct input to see video. It cures the issue, but is a real pain...

Sounds like you may need to delay switching the function mode on the AVR, such as going from CBL/SAT to DVD, until the BD player has fully powered up, which could be 8-10 seconds or so.

Make's me glad that I bought the much less expensive TX-NR509 (not that I could have afforded the SR805 ). It's worked perfectly with all 7 sources I have connected to it.

IIRC, you didn't have 310, do you? It's a different story for 310. You have to make sure both HDMI ports are handshaked properly in order to see both 3D video and HD audio. It's quite difficult to get one HDMI chain to sync up. I can only imagine sync two HDMI chains will be such a nightmare.

I suspect quite a few 310 owners choose this player for its checkerboard format and dual hdmi like I did. I have a Mitsubishi DLP and 3da-1 adapter but had hoped to use the adapter only when viewing cable. I have found that 2d-3d conversion doesn't work when output is set to checkerboard and there is no VUDU 3d! Is there any online 3d except VUDU? Would it work in checkerboard?

I have an 805(connected forthe past 4 years) and a panny 310 still in the box. I'm trying to complete a media room before I put those 2 together, I'm thinking I might have the handshake problem as well. I will be using a Mits, DLP 73" TV in this mix and I also have the 3D starter kit. I was told by Mits that with a firmware, (sent by them to me), I would not need to use the 3D box in the kit but only use the emitter for the glasses to work. I was also told on here that if I do 3D in checkerboard throught the DLP the 805 will pass that 3D signal right through to the TV. If that is the case shouldn't we be telling folks on here that there is no need for a Panny 310 with the extra HDMI for this configuration and I suspec using it with other older DLP's from Mits and Samsung? In your case if you use just the single HDMI from 310 to 805 then output it all to your TV would that work, i.e., sound + picture?

Thank you for directing me to that post. I can get it to work, but if I pause the movie I have to do everything all over again. I will continue to try different methods because I don't want to return the player or replace my 805...

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, and have scanned trhough hundreds of pages, and if I missed the answer to my question, I apologize in advance.

I have purchased a 210, using the 1.8 firmware, am using a Cisco E3200 dual band router, using the wifi function in the player.

No matter what type of wireless connection I use, 2,4ghz or 5ghz, with any type of security encryption, the wireless disconnects nearly daily. I need to go back into the player network setup, and reestablish the connection. the ip configurations are correct (I am an IT professional). I've tried both static and DHCP, reset the router, etc.

It's not convenient at the moment to run a cat 5 drop from the router to the player at this time.

Has anyone experenced this issue, and if so, is there a fix?

Thanks for responding. I read somewhere here that the 2D - 3D conversion is a hit and miss situation. Some movies are nicely converted and others are not.

I have the 65735, been watching 3D with the 210 for several months now, no adapter required. Just had to set the output to checkerboard. I have to fiddle with my Logitech Harmony settings, because if the 210 initializes before the TV does from a cold start up, the player won't recognized the TV as 3D.

Oh, and you also have to turn 3D on in the TV settings. I didn't do that the first time, so I got real nervous when I first fired up a 3D movie and it said I didn't have a 3D compatible display.

only shows total time and time elapsed. you need to know how to subtract with the panny.

Just picked up a 210 (actually a 215 from Costco), so far I find there is a lot to like about this unit.
After searching this thread I was able to configure it to play MKV files from my Network and so far I have only had one file not play out of thirty or so....

Issue I am having is that it only lists about Quarter of my movie listings in the sub menu list, is there a limit to the number of files shown???
I have each of my movies in it's own folder under the network share, Any help would be appreciated on understanding how it handles network files.

Problem solved!!

I put everything back to my initial settings:

310: HDMI main to tv, HDMI sub to 805 (audio only).
805: HDMI audio out off

I turned off the hdmi monitor function on the 805 and everything works perfectly! No hiccups, I can turn everything on in any order and it works without issue.

if none of your other devices are disconnecting, it could be the player.. however, is the location of the player within a good signal strenght of the router?? see if you can put the player close to the router for a few days and check it if disconnects (use a monitor with dvi and use a hdmi to dvi converter)

By standard, 1000BaseT routers are required to be backwards compatible with 100BaseT. (The BDTx10 specs say 10/100BaseT, BTW).
