Does anyone have a problem where a message appears indicating that Internet connection is too slow or the connection was lost when running vudu or other streaming apps? My dl speed is around 17 mps according to speed test on my iPad. Thanks!

Don't know but I am downloading it now. Would be cool if it was the 3D "upgrade" some of those articles were talking about.

I have to wait until I get home from work...

I don't know what else is added, but the TV now has the ability to switch to 3D mode when watching YouTube

Two things.

1. Were you using the YouTube app or browser? I can't find proper 3D with the app.

2. The LINE ISSUE WITH THE PS3 IS NOW GONE! VERIFIED USING TRON 3D!!!

Double verified now with gnomeo and Juliet

Which articles were these? I'd be really interested in seeing if I can track down a changelog of some kind.

@Goat: I did it using the standard YouTube Premium App. Worked fine; half the time I suspect the video had the proper tag in it and so the TV automatically activated 3D mode, and in the case of the side-by-side or top-and-bottom ones, you just hit the 3D button and picked what type it was.

What concerns me a little is that they have been advertising the addition of NHL GameCenter access to the Premium Apps somewhere in the June timeframe, and it's still nowhere to be seen. Yes, the season is almost over and GameCenter LIVE is effectively done, but there is still the archives and the Vault, and I'd like to see how well it works and see if it will be a viable option for watching games next season. (This season I did it on a Roku, and the NHL implementation on Roku blows goats. (No offense, Goat. )

(And I know it's not June yet, but it's close, and if they just shipped an update, it seems reasonable not to expect another one for a couple months.)

they also have been showing Hulu on all their advertisement but according to LG that's a June release as well. So maybe the new firmware simply preps the TV for new downloadable apps.

I hope LG doesn't ignore the users apps needs because in my search for streaming content I've got a PS3, AppleTV, Media Center and Roku hooked up because none seem to be good at everything and I'd really like to simplify my setup.

Can't wait to get home and check it out. Frustrating that LG doesn't publish release notes.........

Yeah, Hulu Plus is the other biggie for a lot of people. Not so much me, but it's important if LG wants to be competitive.

Right now, for the most part, Smart TV meets 95% of my streaming needs. Really, NHL GameCenter is the other 5%. For the time being I shuttled my Roku into my bedroom, and it would be nice if it could stay there.

That is good to know.

Hulu plus is coming. It has said it in the manual from the get go. LG has been doing a superb job of fixing certain issues. If they need another month to get specific apps working, then that's ok by me.

I've read a lot of manuals over the years that have said a lot of things.

(But your point is well-taken. I just wish they were a little more transparent about it.)

My TV was scheduled to be delivered by 4:00 ET today. The delivery company (CEVA) called a short time ago saying they haven't received it from Amazon. Of course, I called Amazon and they have CEVA looking on the dock for it. Amazon's promised to call back later this afternoon with an update, but it's not looking good.

I've been really looking forward to having the TV in time for the 3-day weekend. I already have tip money in my pocket for the delivery guys. But, at least CEVA called when they realized there was an issue. I'd have been angry if they simply didn't show up.

So I was able to get some 3D content via YouTube, like the gopro highlight reel (awesome BTW, good call fox ) but I wasn't able to get any 3D trailers to work, it wouldn't autodetect and they weren't sbs or top/bottom and I was able to use the other settings manually. Any ideas?

I know what you're talking about...Lion King and Jackass, right? I suspect those trailers weren't in fact 3D but just trailers for 3D versions of movies.

(Unless you're referring to something else, in which case, do tell so I can test it later...I'm looking for a good way to search for 3D content other than just a search on "3d", which required sifting through a lot of chaff to get to the wheat.)

I've searched for "yt3d" which is the tag for Youtube's 3D videos.

Lucky you! Amazon says mine is "lost." I suspect they never actually shipped it. They've created a new order but can't provide a delivery date.

The mkv was using DTS, and as described in the manual, DTS is not supported by this TV, so no sound. I wish at least this could pass through DTS on ARC or optical out..

is there some setting for using files with sbs mkvs?

The 3d is there, but seems like it should be popping more.

Anyone?

Anyone use simp link with a PS3? I got my new PS3 to link and it works but I can't figure what they mapped the PS button to on the LG remote. And that button is essential for controlling basic PS3 function.

Yeah. I really hate searching for stuff on YouTube because the results are mostly "unofficial", mislabeled or some kid bootlegging by videotaping his TV (which just doesn't make sense in the digital age).

I tried using the yt3d tag but even those results are off. Im surprised there isnt a site out there that showcases 3d content because I'm sur lots of people just want to see official 3d trailers and not fake ones or red/blue ones.

How do you guys even get YouTube to work! Mine runs super slow and pops up a video in a different language every time I start it.

Simp link works with the PS3? Cool, have to try that out.

Now the Lines are finally gone!! NO MORE LINES!!!!!!

Sorry for the shouting, got too excited.

I'll have to play with that, being able to turn on the PS3 from the TV will be a dream!
