Now that issue is apparently resolved, I have another one. The TV arrived with a few dents on the back (there was no box damage, so it was definitely shipped that way). I probably would have exchanged it immediately, but they were already out of stock by the time I received it. The dents themselves aren't a huge concern (although annoying on a new TV). However, on black screens, there is some light leakage on the top right of the screen where the dents are. Is this something warranty service would come out and fix?

I had an issue with my 55LW5600 after a week of ownership where the bezel popped loose on one corner and the side. No visible damage on my box either. I called LG customer service and they had a repairman out the next day. I was impressed with that as it took Samsung 4 days to get a repairman out when my DLP went south once.
The bezel was available and the TV could have been repaired. However the repairman said he'd have to completely dissemble the TV and transfer everything over to the new bezel. I really wasn't looking forward to having the whole TV torn apart as you never know what might get messed up. I bought locally and was able to exchange the TV for another one, so far the new one has been OK.
Are you sure the light leakage is caused by the dents, and not just a "bloom" artifact due to the edge lighting? If it's from the dents, LG should have you covered on warranty, or possibly be able to replace it as a factory defect. I'm sure LG will be able to get you taken care of if you call them.
Good luck
