The only negative I have about the seller is that it is "cash only".

Isn't cash only against eBay policy?

While it is not 100% he does have decent feedback. But yes, definitely buyer beware.

Could it be that your Brightness or Contrast is set too high? Because in my experience with plasma.. setting it too high will cause dot crawl. Try backing off the Brightness and/or Contrast until it goes away. It did with my previous Panny plasma.

Let me know if that works.

Hello,

Still playing with my 3 day old 50" ST30. Coming from a 32" Sony Trinitron, I'm loving it!

Is there a way to export or save the set's settings?

Also, should I be connecting the Comcast HD box to a specific HDMI port (1, 2, 3)? Comcast tech connected it to #3.

BTW, if anyone has a Big Screen Store in their area, I got a great deal and the Avatar 3D promo kit was delivered with the set. No waiting... except on my part. Waiting for delivery of the Panny 210 player...

Thanks

Questions. Tv plus kit sell for 750. Amazon charge only Tv for a price only 575. Kit will ship later. Could I cancel the kit?

Yea, I'm almost done - will be done at 1:30pm on Saturday. Then, I'll know input all his settings. I've a 2011 55" calibrated LED which I bought few months ago, it will be very interesting to see how it looks next to my the Plasma. I had to get LED for one of my rooms due to LOT of light.

Where did you find this? When I click on the add to cart to see the price I find the best deal on a new tv at 713 but it's a month or two out, so the real deal is still 899. Used are 653, not worth it as they can be flawed. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or have to be a prime member.

I ordered the 55" and it was similar. I did a single order with the display and the Avatar 3D kit, and because it was "free," the invoice itemized them as $230.xx for the 3D starter kit, and then the total price of the display less the cost of the 3D kit.

He's wondering if he'd be able to cancel the 3D starter kit once the order is in, and effectively get the TV for that much less. I was interested in the kit, so I didn't try it - I would wait until the TV is confirmed shipped before trying any of that... as long as the 3D kit is still on backorder, it could be worth trying.

UPDATE: Originally I had two stuck pixels. One would go dark on red slides and one on blue. The blue one has disappeared at about 500 hours and is now uniform with the rest. Also, I would get 4 white stuck pixels when running the scroll bar, at the top left hand corner of the screen. Those have disappeared as well. I continue to run D Nice slides in between normal viewing and will continue to do so until at least 1000 hours (600+ and counting now).
I love this panel. Can't believe it's on sale online for $170 less than I paid at a retailer in April. Oh well at least I got the free networking camera.
Thanks, I would like to have the Tv first then call Amazon later. The price was drop again last night.

I was shocked my 3D Avatar blu-ray came in yesterday. It only took 2 weeks even though it said 8 to 14 weeks. Now just waiting for my new Denon 3311 to come in so I can pass 3D through my receiver.

Just finished aging the panel and it looks like I lost the lottery. Fluctuating brightness is out of control. every shot, often times several times in the same shot. strong green tint in shadows and in general. how unfortunate and inconvenient for me and many other panasonic customers. Classic case, at least for me, of 'you get what you pay for'.
The green tint stuff sounds like you need to do more tweaking to the picture. Also, are you watching a high quality blu-ray?

Everyone needs to play with their settings before writing off a TV. It can take days to be happy. The floating brightness is a separate issue; maybe you can reduce it with different settings, and maybe it needs to be returned.
Followed d-nice settings, also played in all modes to change fbr/green tint. green tint is everywhere (sometimes with a moire effect in clouds/solid objects). watched TDK, Zodiac directors cut, barry lyndon, paths of glory criterion, all blu ray. even when i change the tint, which i would never normally touch, the green stays. in all the films, the brightness fluctuates wildly in the same shot especially if the shot isn't static. Of course, I will wait to see what panasonic says. I don't want to go around making much ado about something that the manufacturer has the guts to take care of.

I would say the overall green tint is not only noticeable in the shadows and darker areas, but also very much on the outline of objects, much like how purple/green fringing happens in digital photography. after playing with all the color settings and modes, i am leaning towards this being a hardware issue, but i will contact panasonic first and keep running slides in the background.

Sorry to hear about that.

I think your best bet is to get a replacement if possible. I've had 2 55ST30's and neither one had Fbr or green tint to the extent that your set does.

Thanks. I contacted amazon and ordered a replacement. Panasonic told me an engineer would get back to me by tuesday and i was like... Mhm... As if this hasnt been heard of before. I dont want to jerk amazon around anymore so if my next set has it, im definitely going to get panasonic to do something about this if i can. I want a working set and a refund is a last resort. I didnt pay for a tv advertised with green tint or fbr. If i just kill em with kindness i expect panny to make this right.

I love my Denon but the 3310 is only HDMI 1.3 so it wont work. I have had really good luck with Denons so I highly recommend them. This will be my 4th.

I have a P42st30 and im getting these pink dots, like scattered fleas, jumping pixels etc.

Video should be obvious https://home.comcast.net/~jakim.toom...625_191522.3gp

I've read people saying it can be temperature, my room stays 70F.
Ive tried different cords,
I read one guy say the panel could need to be undervolted.
It seems to come and go, but stays in the same cluster of pixels.

Its fairly hard to notice, but is super obvious when im web browsing, since thats usually only when i see plain sheets of color.

I thought about doing this, but the terms and conditions make it seem like they can add the regular price back if you do.

I shipped my glasses to a different address too, which apparently isn't allowed bu the deal still went through.
I just tried this and my cancellation of the Avatar kit went right through. Didn't give me any warnings or anything, I guess we will see what happens. I'll be happy if it works out, I'm not interested in 3D anyway.

Does the issue happen with all input devices (BD player, HD player, cable/satellite STB)? How about if the background in that area is not solid white? What about a different HDMI port on the display (or if you're using an AVR, bypassing that)?
Earlier today, I finished the whole D-Nice routine and the set looks great. Once or twice I saw fluctuating brightness - but that's about it. Colors are really rich. His temperature settings were off for me, I set them to Normal and it looked much better for my room.

I'll look out for the brightness issue, but other than those couple instances - I absolutely LOVE my ST30! Will give more details once I log in more hours on it.

Just ordered the Panny 55st30 from amazon with the free 3d avatar starter kit. Nervously pulled the trigger with 15 minutes left in the promotion. Also got the Panny DMP-BDT210 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player as well. CNet gave the BDT210 very good reviews, though owners complain about flawed netflix streaming.

Two kinda stupid questions as I await this things arrival:

1) What are the dimensions of the base stand that comes with this tv. I need this info for purchasing a tv stand.

2) In seeking additional 3d glasses, do any of you have any experience with the non-panny 3d active glasses that you can find on ebay for much cheaper than the pannys? The kit comes with 2. I want to get more, but not at $120+

1 22" wide by 15 1/8 deep.

2 A few pages back someone said that Panasonic is coming out with 75$ glasses in July but I couldn't find any info online to support that. I've heard good things about the Xpand x103 glasses but I haven't ordered any yet.
I have heard about the cheaper glasses in July as well, I would wait to see if they do come out before getting third party ones.

Happens regardless of what is displaying, cord / input etc. Even with no input it displays in the menu.

I can still see it in games / videos, just a lot less obvious, but i can see it if im looking for it.

I tried running the scrolling wipe bar many times, didn't change anything. Really hope i don't have to return this thing, what an undertaking that would be.

EDIT: I do believe certain colors seem to be triggering it, i know bold brighter greens and blues especially.
And apparently certain shades of white, never seems to show on Facebook, but on AVS forum it goes nuts.

EDIT 2: It looks absolutely dominating on this website, i'll upload a new video. http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/white.php

EDIT 3: New video https://home.comcast.net/~jakim.toom...626_143017.3gp

EDIT 4: Started really paying attention during gaming, and just like i mentioned above its certain colors that seem to trigger it, because of the constantly changing nature of the game its only there 5% of the time EDIT: As it warms up its more consistent, 90% of the time.
Starting to wonder if this is more common and people just don't notice it as often because they generally don't use it as a PC monitor where there is more plain sheets of color. However since it shows every time i open the TV menu, even with no input, i'd think more people would be mentioning this.
