Larry,

I'm on the borderline of receiving KGO-24, and I think it might be due to its lower transmission wattage (~600 KW?). I say this because it seems that I'm able to receive other DTV station from Sutro Tower transmitting at higher wattages.

Any possibility for you folks to turn it up a notch? :D

Great Picture! - :) THANKS
I'm in Fairfield and get KGO DTV just fine on my Mits WS55895, it's a 55" rear projection high def, and the :rolleyes:nly thing KGO is doing that could use a tweak is the blasting of their logo - bug, in the lower right corner when the news is on. If they could drop that back (lower intensity), my tubes would be much happier - according to page 70 of the owner's guide!

Regards

KGO-DT has an ERP of 561K. It's about the average. Some of the stations are higher powered, some are lower as shown in the list below. Each station is licensed for the power of their transmitter times the gain of their antenna. Everyone in the Bay Area is putting out all they can with the equipment they have.

Larry,

Thanks for posting this data.

I did a little testing this morning and found that the lower power transmitters may not be the cause of my reception quality.

SF/Mt. Sutro - 29 - none - 1000 KW - 60% (solid)
SF/Mt. Sutro - 30 - 9.1/9.2 - 777 KW - 72% (solid)
