Pre-movie Slides Master Thread

Thread Starter

Since we now have a few different contributors creating pre-movie slides, I thought it might be a good idea to create a single thread with links to all of the different slides that are currently available on the forum. If new slides pop up, we can add them to the list.

For those members whose threads I have included, thank you for your outstanding work! Please PM me if you would rather not have a link to your thread and I will remove it.

With all these great slides, I have two questions.
First, what is everyone using here to make them into an avi, mpeg, etc.?

Second, what kind of music are any of you using or what do you suggest?

Thanks to all, for the hard work.

PBTrivia Volume 2, an additional 200 slide set (100 questions/answers) is out!

I have also saved Volume 1 in PNG format, due to some issues I was experiencing with XBMC's rendering of JPGs. Here's Volume 1 in PNG format:

I dont convert them. What i use for movie nights is MyPreMovie. LEts you select the folder with the jpegs in em. As for music I decided to go with relaxed instrumentals . My entire playlist for my premovie show is pixar songs. The one i like the best though is from Dreamwork's How To Train Your Dragon. The "Forbidden Friendship" song is excellent and relaxing!

PainBreak, Ive been using a mixture of your slides and enjoy them! What differences are there now with vol 2? newer movies?

There are some newer movies references, but it's mostly just an additional 200 slides, so you'll have fewer repeated questions.

As for the other gentleman's question, I use XBMC, and the Cinema Experience addon. I have a folder tree with all of my "Cinema Experience" videos, slides, etc, and the addon setup to play a handful of random videos at the proper times. Here's the timing:

Trivia Slides w/ music playlist (I use 181.fm's oldies station at 33% volume)

Movie Theater Intro Video (It chooses two from random mix of old drive-in theater concession stand bumpers I've downloaded from archive.org)

Coming Attractions Intro Video (Uses old coming attractions video from archive.org)

Trailer (Streams 2 new trailers in the same genre and with the same or lower rating as the feature presentation you've chosen)

Feature Presentation Intro Video (Old feature presentation video from archive.org)

Ratings Slide Video (Green 'slides' you see before a movie starts...Rated R!)

Audio (DD/DTS/THX etc)

Movie Starts
