Was told that Runco's Parent company has a ambient light screen...
Has anyone heard of this or is there an official thread?

Found the name Planar Xscreen..
First posts on this was like 06/07
Seems like this is old Technology that really didn't take off for planar at least..

Don't know of anything recent. But yeah, Planar tried some stuff that didn't work out and I believe if you go back even further, Stewart used to make a screen for Runco as well....but that was a good amount of years ago.

Ya seems like its market they have tried but didnt really take off.
Will say this that plasma style frame that shows reflection would drive me nuts...

A few manufacturers tried that but just didn't catch on. Some even put speakers into the frame but dealers just wouldn't budge. Plus they hated the fact that they had to take the speakers that the screen manufacturer wanted.

I definitely see how the speakers in the frame wouldn't fly....
