To stay on topic, some of my favorite games for iOS:

Dungeon Raid (the latest update that adds classes is really awesome)
Jumbline 2 (it's free, and I love TextTwist style games)
Tilt to Live (works way better on the iphone than ipad)
Drop7
Galaxy on Fire (never played number 2, but the first is great)
Carcasonne (really great on ipad)
Defender Chronicles (neat take on tower defense)
Sword & Sworcery (ipad only, but really amazing and only $5)

A couple of other games I forgot about:

Mirror's Edge
Solipskier (if you're already playing Tiny Wings this one is probably moot)
Osmos (awesome on both iPhone & iPad, but far better on iPad)
Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor (plays so well in 2x I haven't bothered to buy the HD version)

I think I need to research this Sword and Sworcery game more. It is crazy popular and gets high marks from users. It just looks...weird, or crude, or... I don't know how to describe it. Granted, this is just from looking at the screenshots in the app store. I'll Google it to learn more about it.

Just got my GTab from the Woot last week, going to root it and see what its capable of. My IPAD2 is still supposedly being worked on by some person chained to an assembly line.....

Hows Real Racing 2.....funny, I bought about a dozen or so games for my ipod touch...never played any of them. Maybe now on the pad I'll give them some love...I dont mind upscaled graphics, game > graphics for me.

Here are some of my favorite iOS games (ignoring the standards or repeats of ones folks have already listed):

Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden - 3D Zelda-like action RPG
Aqua Moto 2 - Wave Race 64 on iOS
Pinball HD
Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD - Elder Scrolls-like RPG (Ravensword from the same publisher is also good but less refined)
Xenome - Kind of like Fallout 3 Lite

Those definitely do a good job of showing off the device. There are others that aren't quite as glitzy but are also fun:

Five Dice - Best multiplayer Yahtzee for iOS IMO
Solitaire City
Scrabble Blast - Great combination of Bejeweled and Scrabble
Undercroft - Dungeon Master/Eye of the Beholder-like RPG
The Quest - Freakishly huge/deep tile-based RPG
Across Age - 2D Zelda-like game similar to Link to the Past

I picked up a Barnes & Noble NOOKcolor a few weeks back and rooted it. I have it running Android 2.3 (with some tablet-specific UI tweaks) overclocked to 1.1GHz and it's really slick. This is my first real experience with Android. Overall I really like it, but as expected there are things about iOS that are quite a bit better and vice-versa. I'm glad to have a foot in each camp.

Dead Space is a buck this weekend, both iPhone and iPad.

Best Iphone games for me are the ones that can be played entirely with one finger.
Solitary City-best collection of games available.
Fairway Solitary-best version of golf solitary hands down.
Monkey Island SE 1 and 2
Phoenix Wright Ace Attourney 1 (rest of them should come out this summer)
Peggle and Peggle nights

Best action game I played that required a bit of 'twitch' with virtual sticks
Space Miner Ore bust. (asteroids with banjo music)

Speaking of one-finger games - finally picked up Fruit Ninja HD for the iPad last night because of the new update. Not retina (boo), but framerate is really smooth on 3rd gen iPad (yay). New update adds some interesting features, but beware IAP-haters....

Also been playing a lot of Pinball Arcade on iPad, which looks fantastic and once I got past the touch controls, plays very nicely. The iOS gets the additional tables much earlier than the consoles.

Also, Infinity Blade II is on sale for $2.99.

If you own a 3rd gen iPad, this should probably be on it.

EDIT: Also there's a sale on indie games - lots of great titles, some for free. Support the devs!

This is a no brainer. Buy it.

When is infinity blade dungeons supposed to come out?
