Wait, what is this tease? No Pics? Measurements? Subjective comments besides the above? I see no mention of anyone else getting a pair of these besides HuskerOmaha!

Nope. Until I get drivers to test so that I have accurate parameters to use (I respect marks numbers but each driver is different and there could be some drift so I want the most accurate starting point). Once I get ts params for the drivers I will play around with some of the ideas that were tossed my way and of course bounce ideas off the crowd here. Then it will be folding and figuring out how to build it in sections.

TLDR: waiting for drivers

has anyone modeled the FTW 21? I'm in Mexico and don't have access to my pc, I only brought my tablet. I'm hoping that 7 cf will be good, so it will match my mal-x 21's box size. I think with these in the mix, I'm gonna have to sell my IB ixl drivers as I'm won't really be using it once these are in the mix.

I'd imagine Scott has done some modeling?

So apparently at some point the "Pi-18" changed names to "UXL 18"?

Yeah, I never heard the why. Maybe Mark can pop in and tell us.
I believe registration issues with the name.

More importantly, why aren't these drivers readily available? There are tens of thousands of dollars willing to be spent for them on this forum alone!
Have you emailed Mark? He is very prompt with his responses. Seems like there are more people at HTS that have them.

Are these still available to get on a waiting list or prepay?

Do you guys think 2 FTW-21's would fair well against 3 or 4 18's?

depends on the excursion abilities of the 18... the ftw is probably very close to the re xxx in total displacement (the xxx may have a slight edge).

Matt

I talked to Mark, his words were "There is no replacement for displacement" He is very up front about what his speakers can do and I definitely appreciate that he is so honest.

Reminds me of the age old saying when building Mustang and Corvette motors..

Thats what it cost to get a LMS-U up here to me. It's no different other than the fact us Canadians actually get a better deal on something for once!

fyi - Linked page still notes "Price - Coming Soon"

I'll ping Mark on the side; I've been waiting for these.

I have a 10 cube net box pre-cut for a 21" (experimented with a 21sw152-4 that didn't cut it).

I Will likely get one of these headed to KC immediately.
