Did not see another Thread with this or didn't come up in a Search.

This is the movie for me this month. I was totally shocked how much I enjoyed it.

Will be picking this up in 3D for the X3.

Can't wait to watch it.

also Disney Registered www.tangledcoupon.com

There may be a coupon for this one.

I found the 2D version early at a B&M retailer (won't name which) and the PQ is gorgeous eye candy as expected. Movie itself is good, though not quite as unique as other animated fare in the last few years.

I will have to get the 3D version on Day 1. Every family member is waiting to see this one.
Definitely getting this in 2D. Family is looking forward to it.

My local video store had an early copy in 3D blu-ray and it was VERY impressive. I saw it in 3D in the theater and the resolution, color and 3D depth and pop were MUCH MUCH better on my home setup. This is the first truly reference quality 3D BD. You are all in for a treat!

I have a Sony 55NX810 and PS3...

The back of the 3D case says DTS-HD MA 7.1. I hope the 2D version is the same.

I don't think it is. I reacll seeing a screen print of the back cover, unless I'm mistaking it with another BD, so that is why I'm trying to get a confirmation.

At work right now, but recall the 2D having DTS-HD MA 7.1.

Is this any good? Virtually everything (CG) they've done outside of Pixar has flopped fabulously (I did enjoy Chicken Little though)..

Saw the 2D version last night at my local dollar movie theater and was blown away by how much I enjoyed this "musical, princess fairy tale"! This is one of the best Disney movies I've seen in years. The video had more detail than I think I've ever seen in an animated movie and the audio has to be a new LFE reference disc when it arrives (the theater was rumbling for most of the run time), absolutely a MUST BUY!!!

Interesting.

At a dollar theater?

There's an action setpiece in the middle of the movie, but I don't recall my digital 3D auditorium rumbling as continually as you said.

Regardless, looking forward to owning this one. Yup, it was that good.

Yep, there's a dollar theater here in Bham, AL on Lorna Rd if you're ever in town. They recently updated the seats and equipment so it is pretty decent now. I saw the Fighter as well this week, another great movie. Here's the theater website, I'm thrifty!

$1 for the movie but what about the popcorn and refreshments?

I haven't seen this movie but I'm just going to rent it first.

'Tangled' is the best Disney animated movie since 'Beauty and the Beast'. And, in 20 years, 'Tangled' will be looked upon with the same respect as a true Disney classic. And, IMHO, spending even $1 to rent 'Tangled' is a waste of a dollar because you'll end up buying the movie anyway.

^Tell us how you really feel.

I haven't seen Tangled, it looked boring to me, but it is obviously a great movie and I will be purchasing it right when it comes out.

I wonder what movie was playing on the screen next door in that dollar theater???

I too was really shocked at how much I liked this movie. We love the artist Maxfield Parrish and you could sure see the influences in the artwork.

Still have 2 dollar theaters in my area. One on the far east side and one on the south. The eastern theater started falling apart, so I gave up on it. I may venture to the south side tomorrow (Tangled or Gulliver), but I'll be coming from the far west end of town.

I know I'm going to be watching The Ten Commandments and Tron Legacy ALOT and they are release day purchases. I need to cut some expense for buying BDs. A NF rental for Tangled will suffice is it isn't being held back. If it was, I probably would reconsider so as not to spend more on a rental at a local BV store and end up purchasing it if I like it.

The Disney coupon referenced in post #25 is now active. It's $5 off the 4-disc BD combo pack.

If I read the fine print correctly, the $5 off coupon is only good on the 4-pack combo disc with a street price of $29.99. The regular 2-disc set has a street price of $19.99 so the coupon is essentially useless except for those people who want the 3-D disc.

Many cashiers at B&M stores don't read the fine print!

I'm still not biting on this one until I see it via rental.
