LBJ - I'm just now configuring it w/ your settings and can't find bitstream on my BD player. I have 4 audio options for HDMI & Digital Output:
Which should I use? It's defaulted to PCM Stereo. Also what should my BD players sampling frequency be? 48KHz, 96KHz, and 192 KHz. It's currently 48KHz, should I change this to 192KHz?
Hello. Congratulations on your new system
Figuring out how to select bit-stream or turn off PCM can be a challenge since each BD player/model seems to handle this differently and its not always so obvious in the player's respective menu. Best bet is to check the Audio section in your player's manual for how to do this. In general, you'll want to turn off
PCM audio options when you have a Receiver that may do a better job decoding the audio formats such as the 550W. (Unless you own a OPPO BDP-95 Bluray player ...then it might be best to let the OPPO process the audio )
I figured out how to do this on my Sony player via a Google search
If its not clear in your manual, another thought would be for you to list your player (manufacturer/Model) on this forum--as I am sure there is someone out there that has the same player and may have already figured out how to do it.
I found this on another forum:
