I been working on putting in surround sound in my media room. I have selected the speakers I plan on putting into the room. I read through the future proofing thread and it was helpful. I plan on starting with a 5.1 then moving up to 7.1.
Though I have some specific questions about picking out a receiver.
1. I have a 3d tv, with the 3d kit. (2009 Mitsubishi dlp) [I plan on using the 3d a bit].
a. Does a receiver have to be 3d ready?
2. when i look at watts per channel should I find the one that maxes out my speaker watts?
3. The sub-woofers I've been looking at (epik and HSU) have an amp built in so could I use that to put lines out to the speakers or should i do it directly from the receiver.
side question:
1. Am i better off with buying a processor and just amps for the speakers?
