Has anyone observed the 6500 reboot itself in mid operation?
While here at home Thursday afternoon I decided to give the new tv a nice long run. So i set up Netflix, popped up an HD television series and started a season. My plan was to let it run episodes back to back while puttering around doing chores.
Near the end of the second episode (about 2 hours continuous viewing) the Netflix feed seemed to lock up. The screen went still, no audio. Ten seconds, then the tv shut off and came back on. Figuring it might have been a one off error, I fired the Netflix back up to where I left off and continued the series.
After another 2 hours of viewing, same thing. Locks up, tv shuts off and comes back on. Watching regular tv from cable box over hdmi all last week, no problems.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
Does it sound like a Netflix or software error or more like a failing hardware?
I am on my last week within first 30 days of ownership.
If this is a known issue or sounds more like software I am inclined to keep the tv and see how things develop.
On the other hand, if it sounds like a bad unit, I need to decide this week if it needs to be returned to the seller for replacement.
