Hi John,
I didn't see a response and don't want to speak out of turn but I too am using an Android tablet w/iRule (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1).

I'm running the Global Cache iTach WF2IR along with the REBL-X IR2BT adapter. I picked it up from the Remote Shoppe which has very reasonable prices and Jim there provide superior customer service.

The REBL-X is identical to the BlueBeam model as far as I could tell and iRule has the source code already for the model in the database.

I'm still trying to create all my panels, add buttons and assign controls to them so I'm not really up and running just yet, but have my hardware in place & connected as soon as the iRule interface is complete.

I put my pics in a different thread - oops. I've attached mine as a PDF file.

Darth B,
How did you map multiple power commands to a single button in the iRule Builer interface?

Can't figure out how to do that! Wouldn't mind a home panel power on/off such as yours that turns on/off all 3 components.

How did you get the screen caps? It doesn't seem to be natively supported in android as it is with IOS. I would like to share some of my HTC Incredible screens as well as those for my Kindle Fire.

I like the look that you have going BTW, nice work.

I couldn't find anything shared in iRule for it so I took the blank source buttons and added the Smart TV logo to them trying to get the transparency to work (using SnagIt editor).

What is attached is a source button, source on & source off version. I was wondering if someone with actual Photoshop skills might be able to clean up the edges of the transparency and get it to look as clean as the default iRule source buttons... maybe starting fresh is the best option!

Hope that's what you wanted

Looks great for the Smart TV icons... just had to resize them in my editor and imported then to the builder... looks just like the stock ones! Thank you!

CNPalmer - just drag each power command and drop it on the same button. You can then expand the button in the builder's left window (the panel window) and it will show each individual command with a delay command between each. It's how you can build sequences or macros in iRule.

I do a similar thing to access my favorite DishNetwork channels. Just drag the individual digit commands to the same button. Ditto for my radio stations.

SeldomSeen31 - I got the screen captures from the iBuilder app, then cropped them.

I'd like to post images of my setup. How do I get them from the Ipad onto my computer (so I can attach them to a post?

I don't think you understood my question. If I am in Irule, how do I get screenshots of my various panels?

On an idevice press the button on the front of the device and the on/off button at the sometime and the picture will save to your photo folder.

I figured this out finally while I poking around one of my panels making sure I had commands assigned to all my buttons. I expanded one and saw it had 2 commands with the delay auto-added in between.

I also figured out that you can only drag & drop buttons onto the panel so they do not overlap at all. You then need to manually adjust the row/column assignment to move them into position if the placement overlaps another button region. I could not figure that out as well.

Does anyone have an issue when in the builder that a button will disappear from the design page after moving it around? It happened to me several times and the only way to get it back was to refresh the tab. I've learned to save my changes VERY often now.

You will find they don't disappear, if you look in the small panels below the one you are working on you will see the buttons their. What I do is come out of the device I am working in, say movies, go into another device open that's landscape then go back into the device where the button was missing and it will have re appeared.

Hi, could someone pleaaaaassseee tell me how to make an iPhone background image
to fit the screen in the builder ....?
There are some pics called "background iPhone xxxxxx" when I use one I them, it's either to wide or to small, is there a "resize" option somewhere....?
Newbie :-/

Think I got it, background images portrait pages are for the whole screen, and the background images landscape is for a single box, or am I wrong ???

Here are a couple shots of my Kindle Fire set up.

DTV:

J.River Music:

Unfortunately since I can't take a screen shot in the actual Kindle, the j.river album art doesn't appear, just the url. The window looks like this for the most part:

The portrait backgrounds should fit perfectly if you are designing a portrait oriented page, while the landscape versions should fit exactly if doing a landscape oriented page.

If they don't fit, try adjusting the location to column 1 row 1.

Are you aware of how you can adjust the actual width of the area for which the button occupies. Simply put, you can put a button on position 21 row and 22 column and then move it up or down and side to side a small amount by adjusting the width and height. Give it a try...... that should assist you in cleaning up your panels. Some of the buttons are not lined up properly.

Those took a loooong time. That's one the reasons that irule is unlikely to go mainstream. Are you using mce controller and windows media center for your pc panel?

I don't know i can put together a screen pretty quickly for my devices. It only becomes an issue when there aren't discrete codes for some devices that i have trouble with my help button. The more familiar you become with it the faster you get. I have done almost every room in my house with tv's at this point and I am not bragging but it isn't that hard. It does get a bit tedious and the beginning learning curve is a bit if a challenge. You are right more mainstream is Harmony's new product but I love the customization and wouldn't sacrifice that for harmony's simplicity. Mainstream can have vanilla. I want chocolate with peanut butter topping

Well, I agree to lloydus, don't think it's going to be mainstream, but that's also one of the reasons why we (nerds) have chosen it, isn't it??
I'm having a hard time with this builder, I'm at the beginning of this steep steep climb, but I do hope I'll reach the top!
I just went through Global cache courses for their network adapters and iLearn, and found them fairly good.
I would wish there have been some more video tutorials for the iRulebuilder..... "cutting it ALL into pieces" - making it a lot easier for us beginners.

Do you mean they took a long time to load or to make? Most of the buttons are Irule standard buttons and I've just added 'prettier' ones as I've seen them. The panels are becoming much easier to put together now that you can copy/cut and paste.

Yes, I am using mce controller and windows media center for the pc panel. I also am using XBMC (that is the panel that has the button that looks like the movie clapper and popcorn).

OK so does anyone know how long before Irule supports the Ipad 3 and new screen resolution? Will I have to completely rebuild all of my pages to take advantage of the new resolution?

Howdy All.

I'm adding my JVC X70 remote control as a page and am looking for Projector buttons.
Round & Black is preference.

Does anyone have any shared? I tried a search for Projector and PJ though didn't get any results..
Also a link button of a projector if anyone has one would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.
