2011 Samsung D 7000 series is now available.... and boy does the spec sheet show some muscle.

QWERTY Remote voucher, or with depending on date of manufacter.

Out of the box, this thing is super slick, ultra sexy, wicked looks to it. The screen sucks up most reflective light. After turning it on.... well the magic begins. As some of you know this replaces my 55C7000 TV that had major banding issues and pixilated Blacks with horrible digital noise. And Right off the bat this D7000 doesnt show any of the Flashlighting, or clouding in this TV that was ever so present in the C series.

It did have a Blue push that needs correcting, and the backlight was super high out of the box. Here is just a quick uncalibrated settings from human eye in a dimly lit room.

U just picked this tv, Just set it up, will post picks tomorrow, I have been noticing light bleeding on the bottom edges not sure if thats normal, almost like flashlight affect

I had the 46 last week and returned it for the 55. The 55 was delivered today and so far I'm loving it. The 46 came with a regular remote with the voucher for the qwerty. I was disappointed that the 55 came with the qwerty because I liked the size of the regular remote. The batteries that came with the tv sucks. Not even 2 min passed and they exploded in the remote :/. I had to clean it out and replace the batteries. Btw change the black tone to dark or darkest setting and that should get rid of that "flashlight" effect

The month is posted on your sn plate on the back of the tv, but when you register the tv online on the samsung site for the extra 3 month warrenty, it wil display the exact date.

Well, I just got this tv set up, I'm watching shrek4 3D right now, the picture looks fantastic, this tv replaced my 55" vizio led, I think I have to do some more picture adjustments, I will give it a few days or so, and see how it goes, I never noticed the edge lighting so much on my vizio, but I do notice it on this set, I will keep playing with the settings, and see how it goes.

oh ok. didnt realize you just got it.
thought that based on just posting that one photo, you weren't too happy.

i also find it weird that theres bleed towards the center of the black bar considering the led's are on the right.

Picked mine up a few days ago, loving everything about the t.v coming from a old 32' lcd vizio it's a pretty big leap. I'm not a big AV guy so I think the t.v is pretty damn good for the value

There was flashlighting on my set, about 20% of what my c7000 showed after the 1/4 turn panel screw mod, but honestly, out of the box, the d7000 had a backlight of 17, and a brightness of 60. This was way too bright and with my posted quick setting, eliminated the light bleed.

I don't know maybe its my eyes playing tricks on me but the "46 had a very noticeable "soap opera" effect when watching a blu ray but the "55 does not. I really haven't played with the settings too much either

Hey do you D7000 owners have much lag on your Samsung 7000 when playing PS3/Xbox 360? I know past models like 650 and 750 series I played on had huge delay..

If anybody can try out some shooters and rpg's/adventure type games and comment on lag that would be helpful. OR if you guys can even run the lag test like in the input lag thread.

I take it from reading the multiple threads here you just gotta live with flashlighting on the D6000/7000/8000 sets prob LED's in general? I know the 2010 C series seemed to be really bad w/ people returning set after set hopefully these new models arent as bad.
