My UN55D7000LF H303 was professionally installed for me today over a fireplace with full motion. I used the settings in the first post (thanks

). I still have a bit of work to do to learn how to use all the features but so far it is mostly problem free. As far as video quality I'm not happy with the dark scenes in netflix. It's pixled in the darkest parts and buffering is an issue. Probably need to upgrade my internet speed or adjust the settings a bit more. Blu- ray and 3D is great! No banding through the screen, flashing, or clouding issues noticed yet but it is a bit lighter than my liking on the top and bottom edge. This will be my next task to fix after I figure out how to enable the closed captioning. The installer has installed over 75 of these sets over the last couple of months and says those were trouble free. I did not buy any of the components from them.
I just tried the Samsung web cam with skype. Signel strength wasn't strong enough to be as clear as I would have liked. I liked the wide angle and the ability to have several us seated comfortably vs crowded hovering over a lap top. I'm hoping to find a way to mount it to the bottom of the screen vs the top though. The camera is going to be a tight fit on the top but it won't recognize it's on the bottom and flip the picture 180 degrees automatically.
I have it set up with a Yamaha RX-667, and a Panasonic BD-210.Can't tell how I will like cable yet. I refuse to sign up for another contract with Direct TV so I'm stuck with a very old standard satalite box for the moment. Green Light just put in lines for fiber optic cable with no contract which should be available in a couple of months.
I think I did ok on pricing. Bought it on black friday $1404, Yamaha was $299, panasonic $119, HDMI cables approx $9.99 each. Also got the Megamind starter kit. I prefer the battery vs the rechargable but may look into the other battery version. The black edge of the glasses is in view and I found that to be distracting.
I really have to say thank you to all who post here. I found most of the information here very helpful. I learned alot from you.
