Can anyone tell me if video from Justin.tv works through the web browser?

Yes, but it would be the sound bar, not the TV, adjusting the volume. The original question was whether the TV audio out can adjust volume. It can't.

I recently unmounted my UN55D7000 from the wall and reattached the base to move into my bedroom. My question is did it come with filler bolts or were the wall mount holes just open?

Setup is Cab/Sat & BD > Onkyo TX-NR509 > HDMI-2 (ARC). Obviously, I want the TV to remain set to HDMI-2 permanently.

Thanks.

I also got that bundled. Or it may be the 5300, not sure.

Are you using a Harmony remote by chance? I would be interested if anyone has had any luck doing so. I would be interested in some discrete input advice

Anyone else noticed this... or can explain why the sound would be impacted when converting the Video to 3D?

I've only tried this using DirectTV source, but suspect it would be the same for Bluray or XBox source.

Has no one tried the 2D to 3D conversion features? Does your audio volume drop also? thanks.

I recieved my 55D7000 last week and am completely satisfied with it. I have a question about 3D glasses. I do have a 2 pairs of the 3050 glasses but am a bit unhappy with how they fit over my perscription glasses. I was considering buying a pair of SSG-3700CR glasses and a perscription insert but cannot find any reference to how to buy the inserts. Has any one here ever bought these glasses and a perscription insert and if so who did you get the insert from?

Not using a Harmony or other universal yet. 90%+ of my usage is Cab/Sat viewing and I can live with separate remotes for now.

Rats. Though mine is the Sammy HTIB w/ 3D Blu-ray. I'm more concerned with the surround sound aspect.

Thanks though

I have used the feature a couple of times while watching football and hockey. My volume stays at the same level, but all my sound goes through the receiver not the TV.

My brother and brother in law both have last year's Samsung 3D blu ray based HTIB. The system sounds remarkably good for the price.

Both of them also have the Harmony 650. My brother set his up following Logitech's software wizard and his works well.

My brother in law didn't follow the instructions very well and I spent several hours adding work arounds to get it to work OK. I should have just reset it and started over following the logitech software wizard. His problems involved the sequential input scroll not stopping on the right device. Later I learned about discrete inputs and found they are loaded into the 650 and can be used rather than the traditional Samsung method.

I liked the Harmony so much I got one myself and programmed it using the Harmony wizard and it works fine with my Samsung TV, Denon receiver, Comcast HDDVR, and Samsung blu ray. There is a Harmony thread on this forum where you can learn something about discrete inputs. I've forgotten everything I learned, or I would help. However, just using the wizard works just fine.

Interesting. My problem is that the "receiver" doesn't have discrete inputs in the Logitech software. Only "Input Next" so I can't dictate the particular input to go to. So when I go from Blu-Ray (hdmi) to Cable box (optical audio) the inputs don't end up where they should. It works ok most of the time, so I shouldn't complain too much

But yeah, I caught this combo deal one week for less than I was playing to pay for the TV. So it definitely sounds good for the price!

That's similar to the problem my brother in law had. I never used or actually saw discrete inputs for his "receiver" in his harmony. Later, after I learned they existed, I checked my own Denon under "Device" in my Harmony and found it has them. Sorry.

However, cleverly, I just looked up my question in the Harmony 650 thread and here it is with my workaround:

Look at my post and several responses on that page for possible help in solving your problem. Or from that point to the end of the thread. Or check the audio area for your HTIB. Or the FAQs on the logitech website. By now, hopefully, they've organized them logically. Just remember how you have it set up now in case you make it worse. Good luck.

Got my new Sammy UN55D7000 a few weeks ago, and I can't get over this "stuttering" effect when (mostly) watching cable tv. Motion is smooth, but every so often there seems to be a frame "hitch". It varies with programming, but the problem seems to happen whether Motion Plus is on or off. I have an xfinity DVR hooked up with an hdmi 1.4 cable. Problem also happens with component cables. Also happens whether the cable box is hooked directly to tv or thru my denon Avr-1912 receiver. Don't really notice the problem with Xbox 360, ps3, or the wii. It's so distracting I'm seriously thinking or returning it. Anyone else with a similar problem?

Try setting up your comcast box to output only 1080i. Press Menu on the remote when the TV is on and the box is off.... or call them to walk you thru it. Let us know if this helps.

Have you considered swapping the cable box? As it & the TV Are he only common elements in all of you scenarios, it's seems that it's easier & less expensive to swap out the cable box before returning the TV.

Thanks for the help dfp and josephtremblay. I switched the cable box (Moto 3400 series) to 1080i....still seeing the stuttering. It really does seem to vary with the programming. Some shows it's very minimal, others more prevalent. I'll try to bring the box to Comcast to switch it out for a (hopefully) newer model....

Just got of the phone with Samsung. I have had the screen replaced to try to fix the uniformity issues. But no success. So now they are goin to replace the whole tv. I asked them if I could just get a Samsung d7000 plasma. So we will see. I not ill ask them to give me the H303 panel.

Thanks. I'll keep digging. But I have tried all this and looked alot in the past. I believe I'm left with the answer by bodhi78

"If you can't find either, then there is really no sure way to set the input to a correct one."

But I'm gonna poke around the hifi-remote.com site. Thanks!

What kind of uniformity issues were you having? Flashlighting and clouding? You mentioned that the bias lighting worked. Keep us updated :P

I used my 6 year old VESA mount for mine. It is working fine.

I bought a new one from Monoprice for the old TV (moving rooms). Sure are lots of choices!

Well this is what's going on. I had to reduce the backlight to 5 or 6 so the clouding is not visible anymore. I have the spears and munsil blu ray calibrations disc which help calibrate the contrast , brightness, sharpness, color and tint. Also it has a image that helps you set your gamma to 2.5. Bias lighting of 6500k behind the tv has helped with the clouding also it is virtually non existent. Now I was trying together samaung to replace my screen or the whole tv bc of the uniformity issues when the screen is all gray. Talked to a tv repair guy. He said LEDs have that issues smothers nothing I can do. Unless I go for plasma. But plasma don't have the great black detail that LEDs have. So now I'm contiplating on what to do. Oh i also switched the stands on my d7000 with a c670 bc I just don't like the chrome. I think it gives it a more distinguished look.

I replaced my living room TV with the Sammy. So I used that old mount there (no idea model number or anything)

I moved old living room TV to bedroom and bought this mount a week or two ago. But this is for my old TV, so I didn't buy it with the Sammy in mind.

Monoprice's mount section is really neat. It's kinda a personal preference thing as to whether you want tilting, swiveling, etc. Any mount that can accommodate VESA 400 (holes are 400mm apart) will work (most are)

Did u c they also reviewed the 8000?

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...-review-9.html

They didn't think it was worthy of the extra dollar$ to upgrade from a 7000.

My 7000 arrives on friday & i hope it's a H303, it's coming from Samsung directly, i also hope it's not a 'refurbished' unit.
