How do you enter in Service Menu? I don't want to manipulate unnecessarily, but would like to know the choices and settings. Thanks.

It's been like this from the get go, i've owned this h303, since 1st week of feb/2012.

You don't, there's serious risk and you void your warranty.

I kid you not, a simple click left can brick your set. You might simply want to see what is in the next menu, and end up with a brick.

That is patently insane. How am I supposed to compare two different calibrations with anything resembling certainty? Or are you saying to stay away from the other areas within service menu?

I would stay away from service menu period, it will void your warranty. Samsung service personnel have a utility that'll show any entries into the service menu(whether u changed any settings or not).......

If u want to compare, do one cal on STD & the other on MOVIE, then u can see the difference.

How are H303 panels better than H301? I have a 301 panel with very minimal uniformity issues.

My H301 d6400(zero flashlighting/banding) had better quality than my H303 d7000.

It's a function of the smaller bezel

Can't wait for the 2012 model so i can get a replacement for this piece of ****, i'm sick of the banding and flashlighting... i go to my friends and i'm jaelous of their 700$ tv...

There is no 2012 model of the UNxxD7000

I guess i was had then because the seller claimed that it was and it came with these specs:

Quick question could it be that its a 2011 model that was build in 2012 what he was trying to say?

I wasn't going to respond to this, but I'll step into it.

Not all TV's are without flaws, generally when on forums you will find more people with issues which makes the issue seem a lot greater then it is verses the numbers without issues.
You paid for a ultra thin screen with one of the smallest bezels on the market.

Samsung has sold millions of these sets without issue, there are a few that have some banding/flash lighting, a portion of those issues go away as the set breaks in after 3-4 weeks. Another portion goes away simply my calibrating the set and using the ECO sensor. Many people have these sets entirely too bright.

I have several clients with these sets, and I've only ever had an issue with one of the sets, it just happened to be the one in my living-room, Samsungs service was spot on, simple call to them and they got right on the issue.

I would suggest that if you can, take the panel back to your store, return it, and pickup a plasma, or something with a different backlight system, the older rear lit florescent would likely be a better fit for you.

Also, as a side note, I get that you're frustrated, but your tone in your post is not helpful, there are many easy ways to remedy your issues, and it doesn't seem like you've tried explored those much at all.
If your store won't take it back, call 1800SAMSUNG start the process with them.

The "D" in the model name is a 2011 version, it may have been fab'ed in 2012, but there's no way to 100% verify that. If the panel next to the serial number shows 303, there's a good chance it was made post 2011, but it's still a 2011 model. Also, the 2012's don't have the QWERTY keyboard.

The 2012's are UNxxES7100/ES7500/ES8000

Hows this set as far as input lag in Game mode? I have the D6000 and I think its still 60-80ms in game mode.

UPDATE:
Tech guy came and replaced the large circuit board after unscrewing the frame and then the panel.
Bluetooth problem fixed.
Very nice and polite guy. Made sure everything worked before leaving.

I can't pair the qwerty remote or the 3D glasses. But the remote side works.
I've done everything as far as reset the remote, etc.
The fact that I can't pair the glasses makes me assume it's the TV, no?
Any ideas?
I'll call Samsung tomorrow but in case anyone knows..

I've seen issues like that with low batteries or microwave interference, but not beyond that.
Try and do a full power cycle on the unit, as in, remove power 100% from it so it isn't in standby.
Give it 10 seconds without power at least. Also, when you're pairing, make sure you're close to the unit, iirc it was 20cm from the bottom left corner of the set.

Have you completed the latest Firmware update over the Net form the TV?
Also have you tried to default your TV settings?

Do you mean reset the Picture settings? -Didn't see the point of doing that.
I did reset the Smarthub though.
I'm also not getting the "signed in successfully" Smarthub popup but can get into the Smarthub using the remote side of the remote -weird.

Update: They're sending a tech guy. They know it's the TV because they asked me to see if my phone could pickup the bluetooth -it didn't.

Just got off the phone with Samsung and they offered me either a tech or a refund. I chose the $$$. I'm done with expensive, issue-plagued, non-existent qc products from them. .

Heather, who works in the "Office of the President", said "we don't do multiple exchanges" ?!? I know they do, but that's fine with me. I'll take my $$ elsewhere and never purchase from them again.

1 of my buds got the ES8000 and he's having the same kind of issues, such as terrible off-angle viewing, flashlighting, vertical banding, clouding, not so smart hub/browser, voice/motion control that's not ready for prime-time. Who needs such stuff anyway? It's all about the picture, imo.

Hi all i just bought this TV online and it will be delivered on tuesday. Any suggestions for mounting this tv? make, model, type? Also since the tv does not come with any 3D glasses which ones would you recommend. Thank you.

Any Samsung Glasses will work providing they are for the 2011+ model of Samsung.
Prior glasses to 2011 won't work.

You don't need the expensive ones.

I went to Best Buy last week to pick up a couple of additional pairs of glasses. They had the battery powered model (non-rechargeable) for $19 a pair. Seems like a great deal if they have any left!
