Hoping to find some help out here. I got a Sony DVPSR500H upconverting DVD player because it's the only one I could find that was small enough to fit in the space I needed to put it. I have some burned DVDs that I am trying watch on it (Verbatim burned at 2.4x). Sometimes, not all the time, the burned discs will skip. I assumed the issue was with the discs, but they play fine on other DVD players. Also, by trial and error, I discovered that sometimes if I eject the skipping disc, then play another disc, then reinstert the skipping one, the part of the disc that was skipping will play smoothly.
Seems to me the discs are fine, the issue must be with the player, maybe some kind of caching issue or something? I was hoping someone had some ideas.
