Hi,

It will make for very interesting reading how the D8000 Plasma compares to the D8000 LCD - please provide detailed info & observations!

Bazzy!

What I'm most curious about (and I'm sure others are too) is whether there is any noticeable PQ difference between the D7000 and D8000. If the LCE of the D8000 doesn't do anything really beneficial, then the D7000 would definitely suffice for most people.

Does the pn59d8000 plasma come with the new screen remote. Was told it comes with remote you can see picture on???
this is the one I've been waiting for as I find panasonic early reviews meaningless.

That was the plan at CES, but it seems Samsung ran into problems with it and will release it seperately. For now at least the D7000 and the D8000 both come with QWERT remotes either in the box or via mail in form (please correct me if Im wrong).

I haven't noticed any buzzing on the D550 for what it's worth.

There's been no reports of buzzing for 2011 models.

So far in the 2011 Samsung thread, many owners reported no audible buzzing! and one of them owners returned a C8000 due to buzzing before. So its looking good so far.

Funny you should say that, we have one of each here !

looking forward to the review...this should help me decide once and for all between the D7000 or the D8000...most anxious to see the following:...black level measurements, Cinema Smooth bug fixed?, buzzing?, what exactly the Local Contrast Enhancer feature is, and 3D crosstalk much improved/eliminated over last year?
yes.... we also need a D7000 review!

most of us AVS members do not like the looks of the D8000 and would only buy the D8000 Plasma
if it's significantly better than the D7000 Plasma.

I totally agree...the Cnet guy says that the D7000 is the better bang for the buck but that is before any formal reviews...I'm only interested in the D8000 if it offers up any significant PQ improvements...I'm hoping that's not the case as I much prefer the charcoal bezel and stand of the D7000

The D8000 is a very, very dark titanium color. ( In the pic above, you can see the color in the center ) Not even close to the bright silver in the stock photos on the net ! Most AVS members will be just fine with the D8000 look

Side note, we would review more units out there, if there was a way to donate to the cause.....any ideas PM us.

Awesome!

So exciting!
Wow I'm surprised the PND8000 is not silver like the pictures posted online. They must have used tremendous flash on their cameras.
cant wait for you to review this baby

I like how dark the screen looks in light of the camera flash.

You needed Cnet to tell you that?

The top-of-the-line TV is rarely, if ever, the best value; that should be common sense.

The VT30 won't be the best value compared to the GT30 and ST30; (it remains to be seen, which of the latter two will be best value.)
Where can you buy these now, and how much is the 59" D8000?
Will the brightness be, well I guess brighter on these set's?
Where is the review? Chad posted his review in the ST30 thread 3 hours after CP posted.

Is he not available to review today?
