Ok, well you asked so: When I was a kid all I wanted to be was a projectionist, and then became one at 16, so through my late teens and early twenties when I could only afford was a tiny TV, my real home entertainment system was the theater I managed. It was all independent, foreign, and film fests so we had a digital projector early on and my friends and I would play playstation 1 on the big screen, and watch whatever we had playing or the big budget releases we were screening for the press a few weeks before release date. That spoiled me for life. Having to 'grow up' and get a real job meant having to settle for a screen about 70 feet smaller then I was accustomed to.
Now I make a decent living, but am about to buy an engagement ring and then save for my wedding, and then save for a house, so I feel like I have this tiny window that won't be back open for two years to use a piece of my bonus to get the best possible PQ in 60+ inches. I was really going to do this a year ago, but decided to wait, and save, and be patient and read the reviews, and then I thought I should wait for some good deals, and then I didn't have enough to spare, and now here I am ready for my 2010 TV and while searching I became distracted by the idea of these new ones that are coming out. Can't, wait, any, longer.
but I know you are right.
