Hi,
I changed my 43d490 European model with that of PD7000 and PD560 but does not work either HDMI input. What should I do to be recognized?

And if i look at plain white screens i see a bit of this Dirty screen effect or what its called

i attached a picture where u could see the spots ( had to reduce the brightness in Photoshop so u might see it better cause my cam is crap)

and i saw this from another User ! it shows how my tv looks like

Do you have ambient lighting at the back of your television? It happened to me once, the light i placed was a bit strong, penetrating through the holes or vents at the back to the screen.

Oh no , nothing at all..

Well anyway i will get a replacement but im still curious if its normal on a Plasma when u open a plain white picture on it that u have some darker spots (like clouds) even if its less ?

or do you have all a really white screen ?

Got a really white screen. Image retention still happens, some times when i turn it on the an image outline of the last picture i viewed is still on screen making cloudy marks on a black screen. But washes away in a couple of second if the screen is constantly moving.

I noticed them when I was running the break-in DVD, but not at all during normal viewing. I certainly wouldn't have replaced it over them.

Hey guys,

I am trying to play back a 3d-only blu ray disc of transformers 3 (it simply does not play on systems not meeting all the blu ray 3d playback requirements)

But my 43d490 only shows the 3d effect correctly in the 2d->3d mode and not in the SBS and top-bottom modes where the picture is completely out of whack (the two halves of the image don't converge properly at all, despite 3D perspective set to zero. If I close one eye while wearing the 3D glass, the 3d effect works perfectly, but not with 2 open eyes.)

Funnily, the cyberlink bd 3d advisor passes everything but the samsung 43d490 display. I am using powerdvd 11 to play the disc, have an ati 4500/5100 mobility hd radeon graphics card on a laptop that connects to the 43d490 via hdmi.

Appreciate any help!!! Thanks

I recently purchased the PN43D490 and have noticed that when viewing CNN in HD (Comcast), the sides are cropped by over 3.5 inches. Changing the picture size option doesn't solve this. Any suggestions?
I can't seem to play 3D videos correctly (double image) when formatted for side-by-side orientation as is the case with 3D videos from HBO and Starz on Comcast. There are no issues with videos formatted for top-and-bottom orientation. What's going on?

I know this is kind of late for your post, but just put it on PB560. I just did that today (PN43D450 Canada)and I got Cinema Smooth in Options with my Blu-Ray and ASUS O!Play for 24p sources. Looks fantastic. Also added a couple more features. Unfortunately it didn't add support for movie playback on USB though.

I have the PS51D495 (european). I tried setting model to D7000 but usb hd stops working, does this happen to everyone?

Do I need to upgrade firmware first?
anybody have a problem with the picture studdering after changing the mode; nume to d7000 on the sammy pn51d49

Please redirect me to the correct forum section if I am posting incorrectly. I simply felt it might be a TV-related issue and not a PC-based issue since the cyberlink bd 3d advisor passes everything but the tv.

A little bit of extra detail, if it helps - I am using ATI Catalyst 11.8 drivers for the mobility radeon 4500/5100 graphics card. Thanks!

My Mother whom lives in a differant state (can't go help) is asking how to make an info banner from the top left screen "not" show up.

She just purchased the 51D450 and had Directv install her first HD DVR. I did try browsing the Samsung manual found online, but haven't found the answer to her specific issue.

Mom is asking how to stop the Samsung banner from covering up Directv's banner. Apparently, the Samsung banner displays much longer than the Directv banner and she can't see the channel info let alone anything else in the top left area.

She has the most basic setup which consists of the Directv receiver plugged directly into the Samsung TV via HDMI.

Suggestions?

Sounds like the TV is still in demo mode - the only time that the banner appears. Off the top of my head I can't remember where to change the setting... anyone?

I have the 3d490 anyone know if I can hack it so the 600hz is on all the time. Fast moving objects look blurry and would love to have something like motion flow on this set. It's the one thing this needs

I decided to look it up... Have her do this:

If You Want to Rerun Plug & Play...
MENU → System → Plug & Play → ENTER

In step 2, make sure she selects Home Use. That should get rid of the banner.

Hope that helps!

My problem's been solved. Comcast is routed through by Bose home entertainment system and the Bose image view setting was set to the wrong mode. The solution was to switch the mode from "Stretch 1" (my wife's preference) to Normal.

Your problem is that your PC-monitor is not a 3D screen (120Hz or higher), therefore it won't work on your TV either.

And please, relax a bit, this forum is about Samsung TV's, not related to any 3D problems. Probably better if you start a new topic next time.

T-MST4DEUC-1026.0 and T-MSV4DEUC-1008.0

Although the release date is shown on the Samsung site as 26th Oct 2011 (same as previous versions), this firmware shows a date of 20th Feb 2012 when installed on the TV.

Could not post a link to these firmwares due to forum anti-spamming measures, as I have less than 3 posts

Clash Of The Titans looks stunning in BD, on my 43D450.

Still haven't adjusted my settings, and the picture is just brilliant. I'll finally adjust them on Saturday, the 2 week point in getting the set. I should have over 150 hours at that point.

Any recommendations on who's settings I should use? Mostly viewing Sports and Movies.

Search this thread for Nutdotnets settings, they look pretty sweet on the d450.

Thanks, chunon.

Is there an advanced search feature for individual threads? Not too familar with the avsforums.
