So maybe the best plan would be to Break it in for 10 days and then you got 20 days to calibrate and watch it to see if you wanna keep it or return it if there's 30 day return policy.
Don't know about the image retention but yes colors are more acurate.
I calibrated mine from the user menu right away.
Good point about the 30 day return but walmart has a 90 day.
My point of view is since it's gereratiing a lot of heat it's better
to NOT turn the set off and let that phosphor stew cook.
The heat level will go way down as time goes on so the sooner the better.
Leave it on longer than 10 days if you can providing those around you don't
complain about it as it was in my case.
