You know, there's nothing like showing up to a thread just when the final touches are being completed!
When you hit it at the right time, the thread's still fresh feeling, but at the same time - no waiting! Fourteen excellent, stunning, fun videos to accompany a thread certainly is a treat too. And I didn't have to wait for them or post "encouraging" comments for more vids! I'm really glad I happened upon it!
I've read your thread fairly thoroughly over the last few weeks, and taken lots of notes.
With my room (which is still studs) I was always planning to do a standard screen wall first. I mean, how to best appreciate Acoustically Transparent (AT) without first not
having AT? I wanted to "progress" from one to the other, so I'd appreciate it more. But the more threads I read, the more I want to just go straight to an AT screen wall. Your thread has been NO help in that regard! Your AT wall is awesome.
Love your graphs on acoustic response. That stuff is fascinating to me. I might have missed it, but at what location in the room were those graphs recorded? The main listening position? I assume you and NicksHitachi spent some time on other locations and compared? How's the room's response in various locations, like in seats a little closer to the walls?
I really can't think of all the questions/comments I had throughout the read. Only to say I was thoroughly impressed and inspired. And more than ever I can't wait to get my drywall up and start on the next phase - in a way where you started, but in a way not as I have done a LOT of planning for inside the walls and subsequent running/placing wire/lights/etc.
Thanks for sharing! And I look forward to continuing to follow along. I've learned from my reading on this forum that no theater is ever completely
