And I will be fine tuning and tweaking for awhile.
Very pleased with the set and its performance so far, but Smart Hub has me confused.
I have the set attached to my Onkyo receiver, the NR-808. All hardware sources are routed through the Onkyo, so there is only one input going into the set.
But the TV, and all my other devices, including my HTPC, two other PCs, and several other devices, are attached to my home wired network.
I would expect there to be visible shares through Smart hub, and there are. But even with the receiver off, the TV "sees" my Panasonic blu-ray player and my Pioneer DVD recorder, and I can access the Blu-ray and play it through the TV, even though it is not connected to one of the inputs. Now, the receiver does have HDMI pass through, but it only worked on the last input selected before you turned if off with my last TV, a five year old Panasonic plasma. I had the recevier off, and the last input was my directv dvr before I turned off the Onkyo. The Panasonic blu-ray still played through the TV. I also think, but I may be mistaken about this
That behavior kind of has me puzzled.
Also, although I can access access and play videos on other computers on the network, I assume the audio will have to come through the TV speakers for that purpose, unless I feed the audio output from the TV back into the receiver using the optical output, since the source of the audio information is from a file being played over the network.
