I don't want to turn anyone down, but I also want everyone to get a chance to really hear every speaker at the GTG. What are your thoughts?

I think we're full.

Agreed.

All right...well, I hate to do this, but we're officially completely booked for the GTG on April 14th. I'm sorry to those that are late to the party and want to join us, but we needed to cap it in order to prevent total chaos and to try to instill some sort of order. We hope to have you join us for the next one.

Can't wait! See you in Manitowoc.

I am sitting here ready to buy new speakers. You have pretty much every speaker I am interested in on your list, none of which i have heard.

I have decided to wait for the next month just so i can read everyones impressions of these great speakers.

Take good notes! I am counting on you

Unfortunately it looks like Dennis Murphy will not be able to attend the April GTG. The cost of air fair is astronomical, but he'll be sending his Phil 2's nonetheless. You'll be missed, Dennis.

It's about time for a GTG on the East Coast! Preferably in NJ

Gents,

Ryan from Vapor Audio can no longer bring the Joule speakers and is iffy on his attendance. This is a bummer, but he said he might still be able to attend if time permits, and if so he suggested bringing a pair of Cirrus speakers. I encourage everyone to let Ryan know how much we'd appreciate his attendance. I think many are interested in hearing his designs, and I feel it would be a great way to get his speakers some exposure in the Midwest.

Update:
So I visited Stubby's pub & grub last night. I enjoyed quite a few excellent beers. I needed to make sure the quality and selection of beer was up to my high standards before holding the pre GTG conference there coming up As usual I was not dissapointed, ha!

I need everyone's feedback on this question: is 10:00 a.m. a reasonable start time for April's GTG? I understand some will not be able to arrive that early due to drive times or various morning obligations, but this will be an all-day event in hopes everyone gets the proper amount of listening time with every speaker. So, please let us know your thoughts on 10:00 a.m. as a start time. Thanks.

Nuance,

10:00 a.m. sounds good to me.

Let's do a breakfast demo - eggs over medium, sausage links, flapjacks. So 6:30 then?

LOL - I'd be totally into that. I'll take bacon instead of sausage, though.

All right folks, the April 14th GTG will officially start at 10:00 a.m. I will begin PMing the event address this week.

Now, on to the topic of food, beverages and music. We need recommendations/suggestions. We'd prefer everyone pitched in for whatever lunch choice we make, so I imagine something cheap and easy like pizzas will be acceptable? If so we can have them delivered as to provide as little interruption to the listening sessions as possible. Bring your own beer if you'd like, but Terry, Brandon and I will have a small selection to get things started. We'll also have soda and water, of course.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Concerning music, all will be streamed using lossless formats. If you have suggestions please PM them to me or TJHUB so he can acquire them and put them on his sever. We should probably narrow it down to a set number of titles, then share it publicly so everyone can familiarize before e-day (event day lol). Again, thoughts comments, suggestions?

I will definitely bring some good beer like always As for food, I am game for whatever is easiest. I will also chip in of course.

As for the music, we can probably deliberate more this saturday, but I agree, maybe a handful of songs we cycle through on each speaker. This will prevent the sessions from getting to lengthy. I would imagine a wide variety of tracks (not to include Patricia Barber) What about us posting a list of a ton of tracks and let the attendees vote for their favorites?

Yikes, a bit much. Too bad you were not closer It should be fun.

As far as food, I am OK with whatever is easiest as well. I will plan on bringing a case of Coke along to supplement the soda / water supply.

As far as music, I like the idea of a big list and people voting for their favorites, but that may be a bit too much work for whoever is putting that together in a short period of time. How about each person makes a suggestion of 3 tracks and we use that as the list that everyone votes on with Terry getting final say on how many tracks comprise the final list (his house so he should get final say! )

Set a cutoff date for the tracks to be submitted as April 3rd and a cutoff date for the vote as April 6th - hopefully, we can then have the final tally by April 7th. That allows a week for everyone to audition the final list.

Just a suggestion......

Sounds like a blast! I am not far here in Minnesota, perhaps I will hear some of the speakers from my house during the GTG
