Same here. I set my DVR to record the B-J Corvette time slot, just in case.

I thought the boys at Speed showed in replay it wasn't a DO NOT PASS warning, but a message about something else?
Either way I don't see the FIA reversing the DC.
The Speed guys were wrong - a yellow light is a yellow light. Watching the vid, he seems to adhere to the spirit of the rule, staying behind for two lights, then passes safely on the following straight. Unfortunately, that's technically against the rules. Unless there was a green flag being waved before the next light. Which isn't viewable on the vid. Politics anyone? biggrin.gif

Agreed. I can't see them doing it either but it probably will come down to who Bernie wants to win! biggrin.gif
post #729 of 789
Yes, the SPEED guys showed the replay and said they were told that those werent normal yellow lights, they were something else, i forget what they said they were told, but they also said they never heard of this thing they were told, and they really didnt know if what they were being told was correct.

Hey, it would be controversial as hell, but if Vettel truly did break the rules, there should be consequences.

Wow, this could keep interest up in F1 for awhile until this gets settled!!!!

Its probably true that Bernie will make it come out for whoever he wants to win though. So who does Bernie want to win, and what does he think reversing the outcome of the championship would do to F1's image?

The whole thing has been put to rest. Charlie Whiting has stated the pass was legal. Vettel was shown a green flag, which trumps any lights.

As much as I have been dazzled by Alonso this year, Vettel did score the most points and won his third fairly.
^^^ this...

it's easy to forget because alonso did unexpectedly well this hear, but vettel had some incredible drives this year... he EARNED it, and is a worthy champion...
For sure Vettel is worthy, the one race to me that he was so great in and also to me made the difference in the points when when he had to start at the back and he made his way up to third. Props to Vettel.

I am in a funny spot, he (Vettel) is my favorite driver, i love his personality, and his talent is great. Its just that for a lifetime i have been a Ferrari fan, so its hard for me to not root for Alonso driving that red car!!!

Although Vettel and Ferrari deny it, there has been a very strong rumor in the last part of the season he will be driving for the prancing horse in 2014.
I don't see him at RBR after Newey leaves.wink.gif
post #737 of 789
Yes, i have heard rumors too, i would love to see Vettel drive for Ferrari.

yea, i was giving myself some "room" with the 3 year timeframe... smile.gif i'd be shocked if vettel doesn't end up in the red car... it's the logical destination for him... and i've been convinced that he and alonso would make good teammates...

frankly, if lewis hadn't already proven he can't co-exist with alonso, i believe that's where he would have ended up too... maybe i'm blinded a bit by the mystique of ferrari, but unless those guys are somehow different from every other f1 driver, driving the red car still has a certain cachet that can't be matched by other teams, no matter how many championships a driver wins with another team...

Brian

Yesterday the guide info on my TWC DVR for that time slot changed from BJ Corvette to Formula One Debrief, then this morning my Tivo guide finally changed to "Formula One Debrief - 2012 Wrapup". My Tivo shows no future rebroadcasts of this Saturday night showing so make sure your first recording is a good one wink.gif

A nice send-off for Debrief, really enjoyed it.

Does Sam Posey have Parkinsons?

News Report:
HRT is missing from the FIA's official entry list for 2013.

It was already known that the Spanish team has not signed the crucial Concorde Agreement for next season and beyond, and that staff had been told in Brazil the outfit will fold within a week if a buyer is not immediately found.

A brawl reportedly broke out at HRT's Madrid headquarters after the Brazilian Grand Prix, when mechanics returning from Sao Paulo were due to receive redundancy compensation.

F1's other eleven teams were all listed on the FIA's 2013 entry list, published by the governing body on Saturday evening.

Not sure on Posey, he has some kind of problem.

I DVR'ed the show, watched the first 8 minutes, and had to stop, so i will finish tomorrow, cant wait. I wish it was a 2-hour show.

Personally, I would like to see Kyle Busch try his hand at F1. He has the balls, and he has ridiculous car control skills.

I was at The Wynn/Encore this past Sunday-Monday, and was too cheap to throw down the $10 that they charged to go into the showroom. Not that they likely would let anyone near the simulator, but next hime, I spend the $10. :-)

Brian

PS: For you Tiffosi out there, the Ferrari gift shop at The Wynn actually has the super secret 2013 car on display.
