For anyone looking to judge 24P playback I would recommend the "How the West Was Won" bluray disc. The opening scenes has a montage of very fluid scenes. The 835 set to film mode off does a remarkable job locking on to the 24P cadence and preserving it. I had my LG bluray player set to 1080i60 and then to a Denon DVP-602CI Realta based video processor that then upconverted the signal to 24P. Very impressive transfer. It's a super wide format and it is really meant to be projected onto a curve screen. There are scenes where it seems like the actors are not looking at each other when they should be. To achieve the super wide format 3 cameras were employed side by side.
