jcmarx: Too bad about the c910. A couple members have now stated that it works with the S780 but introduces a lot of distortion--so ultimately not compatible with current drivers.
I guess I was lucky in that I just grabbed some old laptop cam that I already had and it turns out it works with the Skype app on the S780. I used the MS LifeCam NX-3000 ( $14) . Its a laptop cam so the cable is very short--but it works perfectly. ( I didnt have any luck with any of my old Logitech laptop cams) From there I purchased the more expensive MS LifeCam Studio ( but returned that unit) because while it displays much better clarity it went into auto focus mode every time I moved. I ended up going with the Sony Skype Camera which was a good choice for me as it exceeds video/audio quality beyond the other cameras I tried. I see the Sony CMUBR100 Skype Video camera is now selling for $79.99 at buy.com

The downside of the Sony camera other than price of course is it only works with Sony TV & Bluray players. So perhaps the MS LifeCam series or the "Studio"( about $55) camera is more practical as it can also be used with most of your other PCs or Laptops.
Edit:
Note: The other thing to keep in mind if you do decide to buy another camera--is that in general you may be much further away (several feet) from the TV/Camera than when using a Laptop/PC webcam--so the camera you use has to be able to process video/audio from a much further distance. This is the other reason I decided to go with the more expensive Sony Skype Camera which seems to handle the distance very well.
