Weirdly good music with a nice sub workout. Thanks for sharing.

This right here. Versa - Shadow Movement. Was listening to a Biome dubstep mix, caught this song, really nice and deep bassline. I had the subs hot by 6 db, and really let this bass rip, it just sounds smooth and massive at the same time.

Promised from last week, my 600+ track Bass Buster / Subwoofer Test using songs from over the last 60 years: In Case of Emergency, Break Bass.

http://navesink.net/public_html/ICOE-BreakBass.pdf

If you have suggested additions let me know! I have gone through at least 6 10-page threads on here, at HTF, and on a few other minor sites getting recommendations from hundreds of people. Some of them I wound up choosing tracks from artists they recommended but not the song they did. Others simply were not available as a download from iTunes, Amazon or Soundcloud. So if you have a 'rare' track you like please let me know how I can get it!

Also, if you think a song is too weak to be included, I am fine with that if it's a NEWER song. Obviously songs from the 60s and 70s are going to have mid-bass at best with minimal anything under 40hz or so. So I'm inclined to keep those in for reference as time goes on. Also, I have fat fingers and it's quite possible a ****** song made it into the list by accident! It was a LOT of work to get this list in place. Next step is to pick a top 50 or so.

That's a great list. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Much appreciated. smile.gif

Ashley Tisdale is on that list. Twice...

But so is Subsonic by Bass Mekanik. One of my all time favorite bass tracks.

Hey I put songs with decent thumps on it, even if it's an artist I never heard of or otherwise don't care for. I put the AT songs on because others here on AVS had recommended them and I agreed, good bass! That Britney Spears track has some good beats too and normally you couldn't pay me to listen to her! =)

Nice Kadath!

Here is one to add to the list:

Evil Beauty by Blackmill

I did a search and didn't see that one mentioned. This song would drop some jaws when I had the LMS-U's pumping.

If you can find it, the Euphoric Midnight Bass set will make your sub work. The first track is especially nice as in the middle of the song a voice will start naming tones in 10 hz increments while playing said tones. my current sub won't start really pushing until 40 hz, I can't wait to hear what it will sound like on my pb1000.

That song is pretty insane. This is the ultimate subwoofer test song. Super deep lows and the warping/wobbling effect of the bassline.

Hell yeah! I'm glad you took the time to listen to it. Nice to have confirmation from others.

I think any basshead would fall in love with Evil Beauty and report back with the same response.

A MUST download. Everyone do it, do it now!

Holy Crap. That song is a guaranteed headache. Wow.

I really like Example-Kickstart (Bar9 remix). This has a nice bassline, below 30Hz for sure.

I also like Lullaby-A Perfect Circle. I feel this song could induce headaches. Ha.

I also like to listen to "The dream will kill you(16Hz screw of I love your girl)" on youtube. It's somewhat distorted, but it pounds out a nice 16Hz bassline.

Song killed it on my LMS-U pair.

Quads...dang.

I like the song because it does a good job of frequency separation. There doesn't appear to be many layers and it really allows the lows, mids and highs to shine in their own regard. IMO I find songs like this are almost a fail safe as reference material because there isn't much going on at the x over frequencies. Am I remotely making sense?¿...lol

Bottomline: Satisfaction guaranteed or I'll Paypal you $1.01 for your troubles.

Haha. Man, you might need to pack up the OM to bring to work for some measurements. Sounds like you might be missing some content below 200Hz or so...

Let us know how it sounds on the Caps!

just ordered "bass connection, drivin' bass" (neurodisc 2003 version) from amazon.com. one reviewer even loves to use it for parties.
• Bass Connection, Drivin' Bass (Neurodisc) The first track, "Pure and Perfect Bass," is very loud and goes very low. In fact, the infrasonic content is so strong that you should use this cut with caution.
• The Great Fantasy and Adventure Album (Telarc) At about 12 seconds into "Jurassic Lunch," listen for the T. Rex footfalls, which go all the way down to 10 Hz. With a good sub, the subsequent attack will leave both you and your house seriously shaken.
• Bass Erotica, Bass Ecstasy (Neurodisc) Listen in particular for the strong, isolated fundamental bass tone at 22 Hz in "976-BASS." If a sub can't reproduce it cleanly, it's time to move on to the next one.

1. Beanie Man - Who Am I -- 1999
2. Tag Team - Whoomp there it is.. 1992-93 old school

Classical..

Just about any Pipe organ music..

Felix Hell comes to mind..

Pictures in an Exhibition CD Pipe Organ version.. Was recorded with No filters..Some songs get low

Suit and Tie by Justin Timberlake intro has some REALLY low stuff, that I'd bet 99% of the systems in America won't even produce. I could feel it and see it more than hear it for the first 43 seconds, until he says you ready JT? When the normal song starts - it's just normal bass, but the intro had my projector screen shaking even at low volumes, and had me feeling strange!

Haha wow. I just tried that out. Definitely has some nice low bass there. Not sure how low, but pretty low. Had my stove rattling pretty nicely.

Just about anything by KMFDM. I especially like the Hau Ruck CD and the first song Free Your Hate. The bass punches you in the gut when it comes in at the beginning.

I kind of like Zack Hemsey's This Is Our Legacy, It has quite a bit of rumbling.

Funny, I just listened to Pulse the other day. smile.gif And Live at Pompeii. The dog singing Blues with them is awsome haha.

I especially like the beginning of Megalomaniac, by KMFDM.
