Subwoofer songs - recommendation of the day! - Page 15

Man I just tried some other ones on Bass is a Weapon channel, awwww! For some reason they pressurise my room to an unreal feeling. I walked to the other end 30 ft away and it almost feels the same and even hits 120-123 dbs from that far! I've gotta put this chaos on a video clip, I wish youtube didn't take so long to load. I think with my subs, these songs just pressurise my room to the max for some reason.

btw you setup is pretty bad ass! I bet those triaxs just pound!!

Maybe since the midrange is boosted so much, it just puts some crazy slamming power to your chest. If I just had my previous sub I probably wouldn't feel it at this level.

Thanks! I've only got a few video clips of them on my signature but hopefully I'll get time to make some better videos on a go pro that I haven't used yet. Let me know what clips you pic and I'll try it out on mine too. My room is pretty big and these beasts cause havoc throughout my house, I couldn't ask for more biggrin.gif I've had a few normal people over lol and they were in shock like they've never felt and heard anything like it before hehe

Thanks! Man my spl meter only goes to 130dbs so every time I try to measure them cranked up it can't even keep up with the subs lol. I'm going to make a clip from that bass is a weapon channel, they're measuring higher with those songs than all the rest of my clips. I'd like to put a lot more movie clips and some Xbox One games on there too. Dude I was playing call of duty ghosts on the xbox one Saturday, every bullet was punching my chest, the whole game was so intense! eek.gif

that's awesome man. I have a ps4 with ghosts but have had no time to mess with it. I work a few hours from home for the next 6 months building power lines.

anyway do they have the supper low EMP like black ops2 ? id love to hear that on your system!!!

I cant wait to get my new reciver and finally dial my subs in the way I want.

I might move them back up front like u have them because the overall response was better but they do have more output at the MLP when pace on both sides of my couch

anyway well see what xt32 w sub eq does and go from there

Yup - noticed this myself and posted it a few weeks back - very impressive, and especially enjoyable because the rest of her instrumentation isn't so busy or congested. You can crank it up to enjoy the bass presence/pressure without killing your ears on the HF.

Would have enjoyed being there - "Royals" is good for sure, but, "White Teeth Teens" is even better!

Hey Blackmambakila, I just saw this video, and on the second song, it looks like your mains are only playing around 70dB (which is like normal volume), yet when the bass hits, you're hitting 126dB+. That's a 50dB difference between the music and the bass!!! How hot are you playing your subs?? What happens if you want to turn up your speakers to say 90dB? I don't think 146dB of bass is attainable at a home setting.

I keep the sub gain on the AVR at 0dbs, however the gain knobs on the back of the subs are pretty high. That song actually was boosted for the subs so that's why it doesn't do much to the towers. Usually what I do is depending on if I'm watching a movie, xbox, music or going for max output, i'll adjust the gains to the right preference. That video I was purposely focusing on the subs just for the fun of it biggrin.gif

FYI, Lorde is a 16 year old Kiwi girl! biggrin.gif You can read about her here: http://pigeonsandplanes.com/2013/05/taking-flight-16-year-old-ella-yelich-oconnor-vs-lorde-popstar/

seriously   man my 32 year old ex looks younger then her xD

wonder what it would sound like with her on her guitar, you can clearly hear the influence of the music industry created joel, not too bad but kinda the same as all other big artists beats made with basic knowledge of a synthesizer ,which is a shame imho .. most nowadays really lack a profound understanding of what a synth can do.

I like to dabble in ambient music occasionally. Typically I just filter out the subsonic stuff because it eats up so much dynamic range, and I will probably never have a system which could do it justice. For the last tune I made, I thought about some of the crazy rigs which some of the guys in here own, so I said what the hell and decided to leave the deep bass in. So if you enjoy a really mellow ambient tune with some deep bass, here it is. Remember it is not a pop tune; it is very chilled out, not quite 60 BPM.

Here is a spectrogram of one of the deep bass passages:

Can you provide a direct download link?
Sorry, it looks like you have to go to the webpage itself to download the tune, I don't think soundcloud allows direct DLs. But the DL is a 320 kpbs mp3, and there is no jumping through hoops to get it once you are on the page.

sounds pretty low, bit bass boosted. nice laidback tune though. cabinets vibrating here ,having it on half volume on my creative 7.1 pc speakers lol

checked for download link in sourcecode of website but it is in javascript .js and source not downloadable. then.. google is your friend... http://www.soundcloud-download.com/

Robin Thicke;  Blurred Lines

No low frequency bass, but for me has some of that great mid bass punch that people always seem to be looking for.  A lot of fun to crank this one up.

Have you seen the video? wink.gif lol

Nope.  Just noticed the bass really "kicks" on this one....again, no low bass that I could notice, but something different and many seem to be searching for that "punch".  This one does it for me.

In that case, you really need to see the video, ideally the uncensored version wink.gif lol
