Is the recording clear or all muddy and distorted?  Last time I checked out the Bass is a Weapon channel all the songs were super distorted, muddy and bloated.

Audacity...and I think I love it.

Often times I listen to songs and I imagine how it would sound if the low end was just a bit more pronounced. I can edit a track and export my "remix" quite easily. Here is a quick example, Bar 9 Kickstarts Remix vs my Boosted version. I just wanted to bring the low end up to see what it would do. Word of caution, when manipulating a track like this be mindful of clipping. The plot looks great IMO, but I have yet to hear it because my miniDSP is on loan... The song itself (before I boosted the bass) had some significant clipping, so I'm not sure exactly what to expect when I crank it on my system....I'll report back.

This program is going to make for some interesting times ahead with a lot of my music tracks... biggrin.gif

I had the MV at "0" and only for a minute or two. Notice the TV screen was moving around so reset MV to a comfortable level eek.gif. Then found it wasn't the TV moving but the actual video of Datsik & Excision, awesome dynamic visual effects biggrin.gif.

Not sure, when I play this song in particular it starts punching extremely hard and pulsates in quick successions, then it kinda throws in some other crazy notes. the first part is my favorite!!!!! biggrin.gif

Here's a waterfall of that Swagga tune from around the 2:00 mark:

Very hot bass around 40 Hz as Popalocks frequency analysis shows, it eats up nearly all the dynamic range on that track. Very hard hitting tune!

Per what I have seen a nothing PL-200 lol.  I am new around here and just bought my first upgrade since mid 90s so it isn't bad for the price.  Got a Yamaha RX-V773 and BIC acoustech PL-89II  5.1 set up.  I would love to hear it on a mid grade sub or better.

This is a pretty cool one.

About 0:13 a pretty sick sweep starts and does it a few times in the track.

Maybe ShadyJ can run a quick speclab on this one to see just how low the sweep starts from.

Keep in mind that I run my bass hot. Typically 10db or so with my house curve tilting down from 10-80Hz.

Might add to the "fun factor" (at least in my opinion).

If it hasn't been mentioned already I also like The KLF   The White Room.  Track 8 No More Tears has nice waves.

This is the sweep that starts at :15 right after the drop. It starts below 30 Hz as you can see, maybe 26 Hz, but it isn't mixed real hot down there and is given more amplitude as the sweep moves higher.

Howdy all,

Picked up a new cd the other day. I realized on the way home from work; that for the third day I had my car volume up loud enough so that the entire block could enjoy the music..... biggrin.gif

So i sit here listening to the album at 0db on the receiver and +6 on the sub and I have a grin plastered to my face.

Go buy it:

Love Death Immortality by The Glitch Mob

Specifically tracks:

1. Mind of a Beast (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUf6p5Inc08)
2. Our Demons (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkvOLB7Yzhs)
4. Becoming Harmonious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euC-mahHcWc)
7. Skytoucher (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxAgB3EI2vk)
and
10. Beauty of the Unhidden Heart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nORTtFMKdqU)

BLAST AWAY!
