Try Gato Barbieri: Blue Gala, this number has mind blowing bass, it's deep, smooth and even and a nice piece of music I use to demo my Dali Concept Sub to friends...

or here's another one: Weather Report (2002) : Live and Unreleased: Port of Entry (CD2): the kick drum in this number is so realistic it gives the feeling of being there at the concert personally. Pump up the volume and literally your gonna feel the deep tones of the kick-drum all over your chest. Highly recommended, indeed.

Nitin Sawhney - Anthem without nation will make your system rock

Most of my favorite songs with bass I won't mention because I'm saving them for the intros to future reviews/shootouts, but here's a couple that really pound and I know I won't use:

• Baby Bash ft T-Pain - Cyclone (video might be NSFW due to a little eye candy)
• Ludacris - Welcome to Atlanta
• Saliva - I Walk Alone (already used it - one of the few heavy metal songs with a very hot bass guitar track)
• Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit Dual Dubstep Remix - coolest remix EVER

I wish there was more rock music with bass, but for now Rap songs always seem to record their bass tracks the hottest and feature the bass prominently in the songs. I'll have to check a bunch of the suggestions in this thread though, see how they compare.

This probably doesn't belong here, but...how do you do all the videos with the music? They sound and look really nice.

One I heard today that I thought had good alternating frequency bass and some low stuff thrown in.

Edit: I can't help but laugh hearing some of those songs I used to listen to in High School(Eminem, Snoop, "Down Down", etc..)

As far as some country I think George Strait has a lot of bass in some of his songs. I think you should look there. But I can't think of a particular song offhand. Maybe "Cheyenne"...idk.

Been pulling out some of my older music collection to see what my new sub can do...Here's a few I've found that have been fun:

Slick Rick - The Art Of Storytelling (Album) notable tracks: Impress The Kid, constant throbbing bass, this one's fun. Memories, there's a really low roll that pulses back and forth through this one. The whole album has some nice tight tracks, it's rap, but his voice is pretty smooth and nice to listen to. Some of it, however, is certainly dirty, so....

Snoop Dogg - Top Dogg (Album) notable tracks: Down 4 My N's, this has a nice low line that shakes my hair pretty well whilst I sit on the couch, lol. Party With A D.P.G isn't bad either, and there are a few others.

This sub is making going through old music fun....

If you like NIN...you should watch their Blu-Ray Live Beside You in Time. Great picture and sound quality, plenty of bass to go around.

I second that, Netflix didn't get it back for at least a week. I saw that tour live in St. Louis MO and it was amazing. Probably going to buy it soon.

Another awesome watch is The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Blu Ray. There are a couple songs on there with slamming mid bass. One of them is John Legend and Stevie Wonder covering Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel. There is a Jeff Beck acoustic cover of a Beatles song that is pretty awesome too. There is some good bass in that song as well.

That was a great concert! I have to pop that back in too! Stevie started to cry during that song, it was moving. I remember when I had it on with my old sub it was very bright sounding, but that shouldn't be the case now with a good bottom-end to anchor the sound.

Ok not a song but if you want to give your sub a work out load up the game Battlefield: Bad Company 2. There is one tank in the game on the map panama canal that shoots like 8 shots in rapid succession. It is some seriously deep bass, that satisfying window shattering bass that brings a grin to your face every time it hits.

The game is akin to a nonstop action movie, LFE... LFE Everywhere!

One thing to note, I had to change my audio settings to headphones to get the best bass response.

Still no sub yet......but listening to my speakers today while switching audyssey on and off, I noticed The Black Eyed Peas' song "Imma Be" seems to put out a lot of bass.

Byit is nothing compared to trents social network. Try it out.

Hi Raymond +1 on Deadmau5. I bought the CD 4X4=12 about 2 months ago and man does it pound. I will need to check out some of your other recommendations.

Defintely, the bass lead in for 'with teeth' is my favorite.

The live version of Hotel California from Hell Freezes Over (and this is coming from someone who hates the f*cking Eagles). When the drums kick in, you know if you've got a good bass setup.

What version of Ghetto superstar have that?
The one I have, from the album, has a peak around 45 hz and drop after that rather much.
The NIN tune have some nice low-ends, but you really should try Infected mushroom - Never ever land.

One of my favorites. A showpiece for the sound and the awesome picture quality IMO.

Don't forget Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff. I can't say I have double checked it for the 'subwoofer songs' thread, but it is a good song and I am sure it is a safe bet for bass...
