Will it be worth my trouble?

I currently have an AV15-x from acoustic elegance powered by an ep2500. I also have a 10" car audio sub laying around as well as a 240w dayton plate amp. I was thinking about building something to increase the midbass or something fun with it, my question is is it going to be worth my while or should I just would I be better off sticking it in a different room on music duty or something?

Here's what winISD says, av15 with 1kw and the 10" sub with 240w. The av15 is in 7ft^3 tuned to 19hz which I'm hoping I will be able to use a 4th order butterworth at 16hz to keep the xmax in check. The 10" sub is in 1ft^3 tuned to 37hz and has a 1st order butterworth at 13hz which I have been told models close to the rolloff of the dayton plate amp. I also modeled a 6th order bandpass box just to see how it compares.

So, is it worth my time to build the box and everything or not?

I kind of forgot about this thread but, I've got this weekend free and want to do a fun project. I would even consider a ~30+hz horn too if that was doable with this sub. here's the specs.

Just looking for something fun to build, any ideas welcome.

Might have something for you, specifically a 6 cubic foot 30 Hz. tapped horn

Will check this driver when I get home tonight.

Sounds great. The 8mm of xmax is what worried me about this sub, but if the design works I will build it and take plenty of pics.

Not a good fit in the fold I was thinking of, but this is not a bad driver in a 30 Hz tapped horn. Due to the low xmax, it is power limited though. It wants a bit bigger cabinet is all, and I don't quite have that design folded yet.

I figured I'd give it a shot, cause I do have a few folds drawn up and I'm looking for additional data points....

Well thanks for trying, I might just build a quick sealed box for it to see how it does for now. If you come up with a design that works be sure and let me know.
