I vote all with the research I've done and forums read. Some users don't go looking for green blobs and thus they don't exist.
Insta 5 star "perfect" TV.
The green blob seems to vary in intensity, but I've yet to read one report where a user who acknowledges green blob has fixed it through exchange or contact with Panasonic. I've read consistent reports of people going through 2, 4 or 20 panels, all of them having green blob to some extent.
My 55GT30 July 2011 has green blob. The loading screens on Zelda Skyward Sword are annoying me, as I can see my green tinge. Mine seems to be changing with time, better or worse I don't know.
Theories are a dime a dozen. Power restrictions, phosphor coating, firmware algorithms, and probably more. I won't put stock in any.
I don't know whether I will call Panasonic with this. Basically because I already know what they will tell me.
It makes me wonder, why I spent 1400$ on a TV to try attain a good picture. My television is still defective. I could either have a 500$ defective set or a 2500$ VT30 defective set. At least with the 500$ I could throw it out and exchange defects every year. But as my TV servicer would tell me, seeing green tinge on a 1400$ set is anal. Live with it. "Within Spec."
