Hey everyone! I know this is my first post, so I hope it is ok that I am starting this thread. I have been lurking here for while now and love the amount of information that is here.
I purchased a Samsung LN46D550 last night to replace my dead Samsung 40" LCD. I've only had a few hours to play with it, but here are some initial thoughts.

Well that's about it for now. After I play with it some more and have a chance to calibrate it (hopefully this weekend) I'll post some more info.

I Like:
- The bezel around the tv and the stand. My old tv had an oval stand and a rounded bottom on the bezel. The D550's stand is square and the bezel is also square. It just looks nice.
- The colors seem to be great and I don't notice too much fading from different viewing angles. I haven't calibrated it yet, but with the backlight turned down from retina-searing bright, the blacks are really dark. With the PS3 hooked up the seemed to almost blend in with the tv bezel.
- Picture in Picture!

- Really so far the only thing I don't really like is I don't see an option for auto picture size. It isn't really a big deal, but I have standard def cable, and a high def antenna. My old tv would automatically put the standard def channels in 4:3 and the high-def channels in 16:9. So far on the D550 it looks like it has to be one or the other.
