Need Advice: NS-50P650A11 vs TC-P50C2

I went to bestbuy last night and bought a NS-50P650A11 for $599, I didn't have time to mess with it last night so it's sitting home in the box still. I did some googling and I saw for the same price there is a TC-P50C2 with some better reviews. Does anyone know if there is enough of a difference for me to go back and exchange it? I really apprecaite your help since this is my first flat panel TV. I am replacing a huge RCA TV, so anything will be better.

A friend of mine has the Insignia. I was not impressed by its black level/contrast, but then again, the C2 has lower horizontal resolution. Pick your poison, I guess.

The Insignia also developed noticeable IR from the subtitles of a movie we watched.

If I were you, I would return it and get something better altogether. Any of the 1080p models will be better. Of the entry level 1080p plasmas, I would look for the Samsung PN50C550 (a 2010 model). Word is, the 2011 Samsungs actually took a step backward.
