boo hoo 2.39 aspect ratio , I've been spoiled by pixar lately with all of their stuff coming out in 1.79 aspect or around that. ................

For us, it was Toy Story 2. All Pixar movies now have a special place in our hearts.

I'd bet they've sold just as many Toy Story toys. And if I had to guess, I'd say Cars 2 was put into production because of Lasseter's love of autos. He hasn't directed since the original Cars and he's back on the sequel.

That said, with eleven critical and commercial successes in a row they have in fact, never missed. No other studio (live action or animation) has ever done this. Ever. Based on their track record, I don't think anyone needs to question Pixar's motivations. They seem to know what they are doing, and no one does it better.

Nothing yet. There hasn't even been a URL assigned to it either which is odd. The URL is usually bought in advance. I hoping with the whole TRON fiasco that they will be putting some focus on The Incredibles. If there isn't one it will be very disappointing. So far I believe the cheapest advertised price ins $24.99. I think we've been spoiled with their coupons over the past year.

I am so glad to hear this has come to blu ray as its one of my favorite animated movies and the dvd version just did not cut it for me anymore lol !!

Great review Ralph and you cleared up something else for me as well. I keep seeing this listed as a 1.85:1 aspect ratio online and my curiosity aroused when I saw the Cars rerelease listed as 1.85:1 as well. I thought the Cars ratio was a mistake but in seeing the same ratio listed for this movie I thought maybe there was some creedence to it. Thank you for clearing that up with your always spot on information.

This was already a day 1 purchase for me but the review makes me salivate for it.

I see Amazon has the BD listed as 1.85:1, but the DVD listed as 2.35:1. Ralph has it at 2.39:1.

Hopefully we are in fact getting the BD in OAR.

Edit: I see Bluray.com has it the same as Ralph, 2.39:1, and lists the original OAR as 2.39:1. IMDB says 2.35:1. As long as I get OAR, I'll be happy no matter what the actual spec!
