This is the product of 9 months of work by an indie studio... and did you hear the audio??

An indie studio that consists of 9 people! Considering the popularity of any game with guns, I'm surprised a publisher or a console maker hasn't jumped on this yet.

Wow, I love the look of the city and the cockpit; kind of gritty, chaotic, and not at all sterile.

Mech Warrior lover reunite! This looks good!

The physics seem just right; the mech is agile but also has a sense of mass when in changes velocity and contacts the ground. Looks pretty cool.

Looks like a colorful Killzone 3.

Loved the audio and many other aspects! I'll have to keep an eye on this one.

oh that looks really fun

AFAIK this is going to be a PC game based on the Unreal engine. Haven't heard anything about a console version.

When will it be released?

When it’s done.

that's what i like to see.

How much will it cost?
We don’t know yet, but our plan is for Hawken to be a downloadable title that will have a relatively low cost compared to boxed games.

and if this happens, it will be the easiest 15 bucks i've ever parted with.

I don't think they are going to be changing the motion blur, nor do I think they will be adding destructable environments... whats your point again? I do like the audio, and this is a PC demo anyway but it would be a cool game if they decided to bring it to the PS3, but the audio and graphics would likely be gimped. but as long as the gameplay is solid and they get rid of that crappy motion blur it should be ok

There are many aspects of the game, some already finished, that are not shown in this video. However we feel it gives a good first glimpse and are looking forward to releasing more media!

i'd say if they're using the term many that destructible environments could be a possibility.

A modern Mech Warrior / Armored Core type game that actually looks fun to play?

Wow, who would have thought!

The Japanese have been dialing the old games in for some time now (like many of their legacy IP's), and they've all been crap. Good to see an Indy team picking up the slack.

I kinda get a mech version of Warhawk feeling from this one. Could be fun.

This game reminded me of Phantom Crash's (an old xbox mech game) intro-

I always wondered how long until the actual in-game graphics will look as good as that, now I know..

Still looks fun, but I wonder how a multi-ton mech turns that quickly...hmmm.

sorry to be a lazarus with this thread, but I've been playing the closed beta for PC and this game is going to be a HIT. The 3d is incredible (I finally have a system that can run it lol) I'll post some screenshots maybe if I can figure it out
