So has Linden finally met the end with her BF? Sure looks like he's had enough of her OCD. I'm not sure why they wasted time on that whole subplot, really, except to show that she is OCD.

Maybe he's the killer, and that's why he's in such a hurry to get to CA. LOL, I think.

My wife and I were wondering how much Linden or her BF have wasted on plane tickets (they are not that cheap, so it must be a bit hard on a detective salary).

And in the last episode he flew up (I assume) just to sit outside the motel room and "say goodbye"?

Anyway, I think the sister is the killer. Not sure why, but I've always had a nagging suspicion.

I'm kinda leaning toward the councilman's female assistant.

(access to the car, possibly jealous thinking there was something going on between Rosie and the councilman)

I am tending towards the councilman's female assistant as well.

Me three.

What about the male assistant who seems to do a lot of hush hush work? The councilman has an underage affair and to quiet it up he takes care of things?

I'm in for the councilman as killer ..

How many episodes do we have left .. ?? 3 .. ??

In the first episode don't we see the councilman riding on a ferry? Was that a foreshadow that it is him?

Seems too obvious. Plus, wouldnt he have just let Ahmed hang?

I was thinking about the assistant, too. Maybe if she had an affair with the councilman and wouldn't back off for the election or something. But it seems like she was happy when she started off that night after the dance.

Councilman seems to obvious. But, it's TV, so anything goes.

Maybe it was the current Mayor trying to frame the councilman...

I'm thinking the sister as well...something about her behavior in the last episode just seemed a little off. I think the councilman or anyone on his campaign team seems too obvious. At the same time I hope they don't just have the killer be somebody completely out of left field in the last episode.

I had thought about Mayor Adams as well. He's evil enough, but there haven't been any clues pointing to him thusfar. And Gwen hasn't shown the traces of psychosis that would be needed to commit such a crime. Her only sin so far has been sleeping with her client, as her dad reminded her (ouch!). Belko was my guy for weeks, especially after I found out he was loony-tunes, but he's off the suspect list now. They can't pull somebody new out of the air (or rain) with only 3 eps left, can they?

I'm really stumped. Damn fine show! If they just hadn't flushed 'Rubicon', also a damn fine show, this network would be batting a thousand.

I find it interesting that AMC continued with a new episode this last week when most of the other channels including premium ones decided that no one watches TV after a 3 day weekend. More likely it is an excuse to stretch episodes even though anyone could have caught up during the week if they were away from the TV during weekend and don't have a DVR.

Weird episode so far (37 minutes in)....no Larsen family, no councilman...all Linden and partner. Is there any chance her son was involved with Rosie Larsen?? (I only ask because it seems hard to believe they would be spending so much time away from the Larsen case this close to the end of the season...seems like it would make sense for them to be tied together).

A frakking filler episode?

Really?!
I guess we got to learn more about Linden and Holder, but other than the last 30 seconds the story line wasn't advanced at all.
yep, easily the worst epi. Why tell yet another story about another bratty teen with an attitude? Even if they tie in the kid's father with the murder somehow...just pointless.

The only purpose for this week's episode I could see was to fill in some more of Linden and Holder's backstories. While all of that was of passing interest, I would have preferred for the time, or at least most of it, to have been devoted to solving the murder mystery. That said, after it had been established that Holder's mother had mostly ignored him as he was growing up, the look on his face when he saw Linden hugging her just returned prodigal son was moving.

Speaking of Holder, does anyone know the height of Joel Kinnaman, the actor who plays Holder? Although Mireille Enos is quite short, it appears that Kinnaman could be a foot and a half taller that Enos. If so, he is NBA tall.

For my two cents worth ... I'm thinking it might be the father of the rich kid they interviewed early on. Isn't that the same island where his home is on?

I'm wondering what the writers were thinking here with this episode. While the mother/son relationship was strained in the original Danish production, they didn't spend this much time focused on it during the whole 20 hrs of episodes. This version is a different interpretation of course so who knows where the writers are going with it.

One thing is absolutely certain though, the killer is most definitely someone we already know as I can't believe the writers would be so stupid as to introduce a new character(as the eventual killer) with less than 90 mins of airtime left.

As to whodunit, I think it was Jaimie, the councilman's aid, he seems to be the one doing dirty work for him already.

I don't remember if it was the same island, but if so wouldn't they have picked up on that? She was dating that kid at one point, wasn't she? I can't believe they would let a detail like that slip by...

Whenever Linden exits a car for a stroll I can't help think she walks like a windup toy.

According to this page he is 189cm, which would be right at 6-2 1/2. Can't find a height for Linden. I though last night's episode was pretty much wasted, unless her son did it I just think it shouldn't take an hour to get one little juicy new bit of information. Of course I did notice he didn't tell Linden about the footage, which could be compassion or he's hiding something.

I got a little bit of a gauge of Mireille Enos' height when I saw her standing next to the kid who plays Linden's son. I thought I recalled hearing earlier in the episode his height had been stated to be 5 feet 3 inches. When the two of them were standing next to each other, Enos appeared to be about an inch shorter than the kid, which would make her height about 5 feet 2 inches. That would make a height for Kinnaman of 189cm, about 6 feet 2 1/2 inches, seem about right. Although he is indeed dramatically taller than Enos, Enos is quite short.

He didn't tell her because she just got "reunited" with her son. If he had told her the information she would have left immediately to go view it with him. He decided to give her a break
While this episode may have not moved the story along I actually liked it. It showed just a little more what makes Linden and her partner tick. This would have been better earlier on in the season I think it took all the things prior to get to this point. After all real life doesn't take a straight line anyways just think of it as the calm before the storm.

My bet is that the casino is involved somehow. Either the mayor is getting kickbacks, or something similar.

That was my thought. The attitude of the casino manager was too combative -- she's hiding something.

most people seem to like the Councilman (Richmond) or one of his 2 assistants (Jamie and Gwen)...but I'm thinking that since Rosie's body was found in one of the councilman's cars that it would be way too obvious to have someone in the campaign connected to the murder...plus why would the killer dump her body in a vehicle that could easily be traced back to the campaign?...I'm thinking it is somebody not associated with the campaign (the Aunt?)
