Oh Man You are truly a SAVIOR!! I've had my 46" LED Samsung 3D Smart TV for a little under 1 year now and i've had no problems
recently We had some house work done and had to move the tv to the back room so naturally we had to unplug the television. We'll
hooking everything back up I noticed my 3D glasses would not Turn on or SYNC to the TV? I thought the batteries were dead because
when i pressed the power button nothing happened, but when i held down the Power button for several sec the lights Blinked Green
and then red again like the power wAS TRYING TO POWER ON.
We eventually called Geek Squad whom we purchased out warranty through and they said it sounded like my Receiver went out,
and they went on to say many people had been calling to report that they're glasses weren't pairing anymore so he went through
some local trouble shooting with me over the phone like go to settings see if my blu toothe on my television was on and see if
I had wifi which all had nothing to do with why the glasses weren't pairing.
So they ordered one of their "NON_GEEKS" to come out to my home and try to fix the problem. I was at work when they came
but the gentlemen who came told my wife that the IR Power board went out and they would have to order a new one, after
he spent around 2 hours on the phone with his tech support agent over the phone while he was at our home trying to fix
the problem, so they said they would have to order this part specially because this wasn't something they carried around ,
but he said as soon as the part comes in i would be able to watch our tv.
TODAY IS 11-21 the night before THANKSGIVING and I came across your ARTICLE that said try to "TURN THE TV OFF for about 2 minutes
and then turn it back on"
this was all after spending about 45 minutes searching the internet for "HOW TO INSTALL AN IR POWER BOARD for an LED Samsung TV"
i had no luck at all, i was going to try to install this part myself, because tomorrow is THANKSGIVING and Geek Squad would not have been
able to come out tomorrow so this would be another day i would go without my glorious 3D.
LONG STORY SHORT- I came across your conversation, and gave it a shot and sure enough.... ONCE I turned the TV back on after being powered down
the glasses sync'd right up, its been about 1 1/2 weeks since i've been without my 3D because "GEEK Squad" told me something was wrong and
absolutely nothing was wrong, which means theres probably Hundreds of customers with tv's that have not been broken that they've referred
to parts that didn't have anything to do with this problem. k
