So I have my scientific atlanta explorer 8300hd cable box connected to my hardly used hand-me-down-from-my-brother Onkyo TX-SR508 via hdmi 1.4. The Onkyo is connected to my 55" Sammy LED HDTV (8000series) via a hdmi 1.3 cable.
When I turned everything on, the cable signal was going through but didn't look crisp. 10 seconds later the signal disappears (tv reads "no signal"). Using my slingbox player I check my cable box and find it displaying an attention message saying the device it's connected to is not hdcp compliant.
It's gonna take a lot of work to check, connect/disconnect cables and connection because y setup is hard to get to so I'd like opinions as to what the problem could be before I start....Help!
