Looking for 32 inch dlna ready TV

I'm in the market for the most inexpensive 32 inch dlna lcd/led tv I can find. used would be fine if it's in good condition. I have a samsung 55 inch led tv in my living room and it's dlna ready and I love it. I stream movies all the time from my server to my TV. I'm looking for one for my bedroom in about 32 inch size. I'm looking to spend as little as possible though. I can have seen decient 32 in sets for $300 range but none have usb or dlna that I have seen. Anyone know of a decent model that isn't 800 bucks or more that has this ability? I may just end up grabbing a cheaper 32 inch for now and get a better one in a year or so and move the other one above my bar when I finally get the basement done if I can't find something. Good luck finding a good dnla tv for that price range. You might want to check out the LG 32LE5300, as its fairly cheap. Not DNLA certified though. Careful with price talk though.

Maybe you could get the tv of your choice a add some sort of media streamer. I wonder if there is a streamer that has a universal remote so you don't have to use separate remotes...

Your best bet since you do not want to spend any money is to buy whatever TV you want and add a media box to it. Like this:

I generally like the "build your own" approach, where you pick the best part for the job. But well-implemented DLNA is such a convenience. Not having all those wires, power cables, extra remotes, etc.. Especially if hanging stuff on the wall.

Frank, I agree to a certain extent. However, if something fails, it's usually easier and more cost effective to replace the failed part than the whole thing.

I tend to agree that if you're hanging your TV on the wall, then integration makes much more sense than if you're using a TV stand or shelf unit with plenty of room for equipment.

Thanks guys,

I think I like the idea of just picking up an inexpensive TV that will do the job for now and add in a stand alone device. I havn't looked into any of them as of yet. The WD TV Live Plus looks promising. It's a little more money but may be fun to play with. I'm a network nut and LOVE being able to stream content over my network. I'm in the process of finishing my basement and am in the midst of running cat6 throughout the house to ever room. Every bedroom will have 1tv jack and 2 network. 4 network in my office. 4 in the living room and a ton of them in the basement. there will be a home theater down in the basement eventually, Bar area with 2 TV's mounted above the bar, and another TV for the kids. Eventually I would like to have all TV's connected to the network in some way. Hopefully the cost will start dropping on dlna equiped TV's but if not then adding in seperate boxes to do the job that are under 100 bucks seems like it would be achievable.

Its not impossible though, nor should it be rare if you consider its only two letters. I dont know about the rest of you but I type pretty damn fast without even bothering to look at the keyboard. One key got pressed faster than the other. It happens to me all the time, especially for two letter words like "to" which come out as "ot". They are obvious enough though that I can see them and fix before submission.
Either way it is not a big deal, and I find it funny someone has to post just to point it out, especially since DLNA was mentioned prior in the first post.

As for the OT, I heard LG offers a dlna usb dongle that can be used on some of their TVs. I really do not know much about it other than that I have seen one offered before. It is worth looking into if you want a cheap TV brand as well.

I have also been looking for one of these but it seems DLNA support is only available in current LG TVs from 42" upwards. What a shame. I would prefer to have it built-in vs an external box or DVD player (BD 650 is the lowest model with DLNA)

There seems to be an LG model 32LE5500 but it does not appear to be available in the US.

Looked at sony google tv? I got one from ABT when was on sale. Son uses it for gaming. Nice Tv and has dlna support.

Samsung has a 32" and 37" size in the D550 LCD series.
Excellent picture quality and handles lots of video formats including HD divx and mkv/avc on USB or via network DLNA.
32" model: LN32D550
37" mode: LN37D550
