Onkyo 706

This may seem like a basic question, but one that I am having trouble with and thus brings me to your door.

I have 7.1 hooked up, but as you all know, there is not a lot of 7.1 movies.

How can I utilize my extra two speakers when watching a 5.1 movie. I don't care if the rear surround right is the same sound as the surround right. I would just like to use these extra two speakers I purchased.

I am using an Onkyo 706.

Try setting it for Dolby EX.

If not that, then try setting the listening mode to Pro Logic IIx.
