The selected picture mode should be intact when you cycle the power. Is the tv set to demo mode instead of "home use"? I can't remember where this is exactly in the menu, but it's there.
I'll take your advice for now and lay off the 10 point.
But I do feel it's that last frontier that will get this set to 100%.
I've re-adjusted/tweaked a few of the settings since posting the list.
And I've been watching a more varied amount of content and I have to say that I'm becoming more enamored with this panel.
I just picked up a copy of Avatar, Fifth Element and 2012 on blueray today(for anyone that doesn't know, at Newbury Comics - they buy and sell used discs).
Will be watching those over the next few days or so and I'll post my experience.
With Avatar, I'm curious to see if it looks anything like the way I saw it on that Samsung 46" LED panel I saw at BB. It was simply mesmerizing.
And for Fifth Element, I have used that movie for so many years now to test and calibrate front, rear and flat panel sets. I'm so familiar with how it's supposed to look that it will be very interesting to see how it fairs on the LG.
I'd be curious to see if my settings would work for anyone else's LK series. At least as a starting point.
This really is a great forum.
Thanks again to all.
