Vantage Infusion & Thermostats

Hello All...

I'm about to upgrade a Q-Link system to an Infusion System. This particular home has 7 Thermostats. I've used Vantage TSTAT's in the past, no real problems with them, but they aren't the best i've seen.

I'm wondering if anyone has some personal preference to something else AND experience putting them on an Infusion system. If so, why did you like them? What was the cost comparison?

No Flame Wars please, but if you have reasons you use an Aprilaire or something i'd like to know why.

Thanks

For me, the RC-2000 from HAI is all I spec. There are several reasons. The first is that this particular model works with just about any HVAC system. It is a true temp and humidistat that can control both humidifiers and dehumidifiers. It works with variable fan speed heat pumps. If you have a zoned system, you can specify if the stat will be a master or a slave to work with the damper controller. Lastly, it's all built in. No extra communication board is required. There are two versions, wired and RF. (Zigbee HA for RF)

Are the existing thermostats connected to the Vantage system or will you install Vantage stats with the upgrade to the Infusion system? If existing you will also need to upgrade the QETS to a QETS-3, Vantage now uses a new Universal Thermosat (see their website), that is a little harder to navigate that the older Vantage stat, a few more options though. I like the older stat, as you just push the up or down button to change the temperature locally. Otherwise the Vantage system controls the temperature.
