My DIY home theater chairs. - Page 2

I've seen a ton of home theater chairs in my life and they look pretty nice! You have some mad skills and should be proud of your chairs and your theater. Very well done.

I have to ask- are they comfortable?

The power mechanism was $160 and the manual version was $50.

Very nice work. I did just about everything myself in my build, but making HT chairs is way out of my league...over the top. Thanks for posting and a well done job documenting.

Hats off to you! That is one fantastic job!

I can't begin to imagine how many staples you went through. Was it an electric or air driven gun?

Color me extremely impressed. You've got true Maker spirit!

Unreal effort, jelloslug! And the theater is equally awesome as well! Kudos are not enough to describe what you've done in creating this room.

You, my friend, are quite the carpenter! Great work!

Very nice DIY project indeed!!

Do you mind sharing the name and model of the reclining mechanism and other parts? Also, do you have blueprints an amateur woodworker like myself could follow?

Very impressed!

Where did you manage to find the recliner mechanisms?
You are one seriously talented individual. Those seats are beyond words. I read the thread title and was expecting some plywood benches!

When is the Power Buy taking place?
What a fantastic job you have done, well done. You need to go into the custom install business!! Can you tell me where you got the cup holders from for your seats. I am not building my own, just hoping to adapt some electric recliner arm chairs that I have.

I've been known to make something from nothing,
but you takes da cake.
WELL DONE!

Very VERY impressive. Any idea what the weight on a stand alone 2 arm seat would be?

Nice work!

That is awesomely inspiring. I mean that literally.

I am in the process of designing my own home theatre. Though i will not be building it myself, as i will have agencies to do the various kinds of works for me. I was in the process of designing the sofas and wanted to decide whether i will go for recliners. Of the shelf recliners are very expensive, so i wanted to go the GID (get it done) way.

I wanted to know. What is the height of the top of the seat cushion from the floor? And how high it the back?
Wow, amazing, how much time did you spend on those chairs?
Holy crap, those are some mad skills there. Amazing work.
