Best options for hooking up an NAD 744 Receiver and a Samsung BDP-3600

Hey everyone I'm new here to the thread and am in search for answers! I recently picked up an NAD 744 Receiver with a Samsung BDP-3600 Bluray Player. Now I was wondering what the best hookup would be to watch blurays and to stream Netflix? I have enough cables for the analog multichannel outs and a few coax and optical cables. Not sure if I should hook up separate cables for the bluray player and the Netflix? And what should I set the options to in the bluray player? Thanks!

What about component video + optical audio? You'll be streaming Netflix through the Blu-ray player, correct?

I currently have HDMI to my tv and yes Netflix will stream over the bluray player. My main question is, can I get the high res sounds formats with the 744 and the 3600 and how can I stream Netflix with Dolby Digital and not stereo?

I have the same receiver. Awesome sound. It has 5. Analog in. Hook up your player using 6 analog cables. If your player can decode all the codecs then you will hear the highest quality sound available on bluray.

Yeah the player decodes dts-hd master audio and dolby truehd internally and outputs them over the analog outputs. What should I set my audio options too in the bluray player?

The options I have are:

Digital Output: PCM, Bitstream(Re-encode), Bitstream(Audiophile)
PCM Down Sampling: On, Off
Dynamic Compression: On, Off
Downmixing mode: Normal Stereo, Surround Compatible

I want the high res formats for my blurays and then for Netflix I want the sound to come across as Dolby Digital if available.

What I have set now is the multichannel out from the bluray player to the receiver and the bluray options are set as the following:

Digital Output: PCM
PCM Down Sampling: On
Dynamic Compression: On
Downmixing mode: Normal Stereo

The sound is great for blurays but for some reason everything on Netflix is coming through as stereo. Any ideas?

Anyone have any idea about the Netflix issue?
