I have an RS40 with the latest firmware update (1.3). So far I've had two lockups over the 4 months I've had it. The Projector doesn't show any picture, although the lamp is still on, and it won't respond to any remote commands.
I had my RS15 for over a year and it never once locked up.
To get it to come back I have to unplug the projector, then plug it back in. It always makes ugly crackling sounds after I start it up from a lockup, but it then performs normally.
Two times in 4 months isn't much but it's still two times too many. Does anyone have any clue as to why this happens? Once it locked up on startup, and once it locked up as I was changing channels on the DirecTV box.
